i keep most of my files in a cocked-open tool chest drawer. not terribly elegant, but it keeps them handy and prevents them from excessively knocking into each other. also shown is our sandpaper caddy. i pretty much only use 60 and 80 grit these days. but we keep everything down to 1000 handy, for doing things like polishing stainless steel. i would hate to admit it, but i think that sandpaper (or abrasives in general) is my favorite tool around the shop.

I've been in the process of re-watching all 9 seasons of X-Files over the past couple of weeks. I couldn't resist the urge to set up a Strobist-style X-scene. Seemed perfect to use a Dave Hill treatment on this one as well.

Strobist:
