Charcoal and white chalk. I figured it was about time I got back to doing some more traditional figure drawing, using charcoal. I thought this one came out pretty well, but I was even more pleased with the next drawing, which I did the following week.

August 16, 2010. The first half hour was the best of the 5 hours put into the painting. I need to learn to stick with my drawing if the drawing works. In the finish, her features moved, but not for the better.
