Figuratively and literally. I have three months of mediocrity in my folders, poor planning and bad luck mostly so nothin' new. I'm leaving for AZ and Texas on Friday and my work is trying to pack two weeks work into one so I'm sleeping in, getting home late which means no Flickr. Probably will be backed up when I return too so I'll be back asap.

One more from Sun Lakes. It's nice when you are already someplace beautiful when you get a great sunset. :-)

I was first drawn to the color gradient, then looked for a rock that created more movement in the water and added an element to the composition. Playa de La Espasa - Asturias

Ulster Heights Lake, NY. (Reed blade reflection)

...figuratively speaking that is.

This area is known as More Mesa and it's less than a mile from my house to these bluffs. It's a wonderful open space (320 acres) and full of wildlife and great ocean views.

At the beginning of the 14. century. was established the Catholic parish church Saint Dionysius as a westphalian hall church by three ships.

The cross ribs of the vaults are summarised by figurative and ornamentalen keystones.

In the choral vault 1968 remains of the original painting were exposed. The massive west tower with round arch and romanesque sound holes belongs to the romanesque predecessor's church of the twelfth century.

Colorful, figurative wall clock made by Normann Copenhagen (Scandinavian Design Company ) and named: WATCH ME. This wall clock is designed by Rasmus Gottliebsen. Designer Rasmus tells, "WATCH ME is not about telling the exact time, but more about idea of time. You experience different moods, depending on the minute, hour, day or year."

This is a humorous and colorful wall clock that provides the space for you to live life to the full.

...with a golden touch...

Day now, night now, at head, side, feet,

They stand their vigil in gowns of stone,

Mouthless, eyeless, with stitched bald head.

Faces blank as the day I was born.

Their shadows long in the setting sun

That never brightens or goes down.

And this is the kingdom you bore me to,

Mother, mother. But no frown of mine

Will betray the company I keep.

(Second try)

Two and four:

Two elemental figures / or are these figural elements.//

Become two only when placed together.//

Which defines space. // Space captures the elements //

The elements format space. // Space dictates the artist.

Which makes four:

elements, space and artist

There are trees here and there who I consider best friends. They have been guides when I've lost my way, figuratively and literally. They have posed for portraits in all kinds of weather and seasons of their lives. They have fed me, provided shade from the sun, and as a child, held me high above the ground for views of new perspectives.

I don't climb trees anymore, but can still feel them reaching out to curl around my consciousnes

This very anthropomorphic tree reminds of the Whomping Willow in the Harry Potter novels - thrashing its arms around. In this case, an oak, still green amongst lovely autumn colour from the beeches in the New Forest.
