Although not completely original, it's still quite a rare sight to see what looks like a MItsubishi Zero Fighter fly. BANZAI!!! This wasn't part of the flying portion of the airshow and this plane was just on static display. Luckily, we caught it early in the morning flying above us and I was able to quickly switch on the camera and snap this guy.

Tis plane's exterior is painted with the markings of the P-51 flown by Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Bob Friend in WW2. This was the all-Black fighter squardron. Perhaps Bob's girlfriend was named Bunny and that is the reason for the nose art.
Sea Knights are coming to the end of their careers and this one has been painted in a vintage colour scheme/ HMM-764 still operates the type
The Panther was the Navy's first jet to see combat, serving on attack and fighter missions during the Korean War.

Upclose the AV-8 Harrier vertical/short-takeoff ground attack single-engine fighter aircraft, the first operational V/STOL aircraft. Originally an Anglo-American development and later by McDonnell-Douglas, then Boeing/BAE Systems, the Harrier had its combat debut in the 1991 Gulf War.
The Avia BH-3 was a fighter plane built in Czechoslovakia in 1921 and made its first flight in 1921. After favourable trials in June 1921, ten aircrafts were ordered by the Czechoslovakian Air Force and entered service under the military designation B.3. in 1923.
Only 14 were built and cancelled in 1927.

Flight Lieutenant Jonny Dowen puts the Typhoon through its paces during public display authorisation for his solo display. The immense power and maneuverability of the aircraft are shown to great effect. Very impressive.

The memorial is an original artwork designed by noted sculptors Eugene Daub and Louis Quaintance for the USS San Diego (CL-53) Memorial Association, which has donated it to the Port District for the benefit of the people of San Diego. A fortunate and well-run ship, the San Diego steamed over 300,000 nautical miles, engaged the enemy on 34 different occasions, and never lost a man. She earned 18 battle stars for her World War II service
