A woman first is becoming reality nowadays rather than just a saying for last many years This era belongs to women and we have another story of a Flying officer Avani Chaturvedi Avani is the First Indian woman to fly one of the most powerful fighter aircraft MiG 21 Bison single handedly. It's an inspiring short story with moral lessons. feel free to use this image but give credits to www.drilers.com/

Fortunately, I had a great and well-preserved original to work with here. But it is hardly too early to begin digital preservation of pictures from this era generally. This is the fighter crew of Major Harry Crum, to the best of my knowledge in the Philippines after the liberation, waiting for the invasion of Japan. I really love the splendid tonality of this one.

Ben was a friend and for a few years an agent for the sale of my (Blake Smith) aviation paintings. Ben was first and only Allied fighter pilot to shoot down 2 Luftwaffe me-262 jet-powered aircraft on a single mission. His personal mount was a P-51 D code lettered E2-D.

The questions I asked were essentially: how is it that you came to be a pilot? Why did you choose the Air Force over other services? What was your level of flying experience when introduced to combat operations? What types of aircraft did you fly in combat? Do you recall your first combat engagement and any involving lend-lease aircraft? Your assessment of opponent aircraft, in particular American lend-lease aircraft as used by the Soviets? Comment about Russian combat tactics and the apparent skill level of opponent pilots?
