November, 9, Monday.

A guest from sunny Mexico ignored nasty weather of Russian November and came to Nizhny Novgorod to perform Edge of Space flight onboard MiG-29UB jet fighter.

Гость из солнечной Мексики не побоялся ноябрьской непогоды и прибыл в Нижний Новгород, чтобы совершить полет в стратосферу на борту истребителя Миг-29 УБ.

Squadron photo, 1967. The squadron commander’s jet--tail letters “AT”--is marked with Lt Col Jim Titus’ third mig kill. After downing a Mig-21 on 20 Mar with an AIM-7, Titus killed two Mig-21s on 22 Mar 1967, the first with an AIM-9, and the second with a 20mm gun pod, contributing to the wing’s “Gunfighter” nickname.

Let it snow! Yesterday two Japanese guys opened the winter (if 20 sm. snow cover can be called "winter" ) season of MiG-29 flights!

Вчера в Нижнем Новгороде выпало 20 см снега, поэтому можно считать, что сезон зимних полетов на МиГ-29 открыт!

Back to April 2012 at Hyakuri Air Force Base in Japan, during a time of increased tension with North Korea due to their missile testing. Consequently, when the usual military runway was already in use, some recoveries were made on the other runway usually reserved for traffic on the civil airport side of the airfield. So, 'right place, right time' as JASDF F-4EJ Phantom 37-8320 from the based 302 Hikotai recovers from a sortie and deploys its brake chute.
