Legacy Blues
One of the highlights of my career, refueling the US Navy Blue Angels. Having grown up watching them perform in the A-4 Skyhawk and transition to the F/A-18A, this was quite the treat.
It’s alive! This shot shows the cockpit of a Draken International Spanish Mirage F1M with power on. The image was taken with a Nikon Z7 & Nikkor 14-24mm using the FTZ adaptor. The more I play with this system the more I love it. This is maybe the rarest HAF F-16 example spotting-wise. It's actually a Blk50 airframe upgraded to Blk50M. This was the initial airframe of the PXII program, which stayed in US for future development and certification procedures for future PX programs. Since it's joined the rest of the HAF F-16 fleet, it flies with 335M Tiger. The most apparent differences from the rest Blk52M fleet are the highvis stencils, the 4-digit serial number, the luck of squadron tailband. Notice that it's equipped with GE engine rather than a PW as all of the PXIV deliveries.
