The now closed area of the Schiphol terrace between concourse E and F always gave a very nice view of the daily Northwest invasion at AMS. This one for me being the most memorable.with three DC-10's and three 747's perfectly lined up during dawn.

10th October 2013 - A pair of Mirage 2000N's of the French Airforce led by 125 BU-345 taxi out for a sortie during Exercise Capable Eagle at RAF Leeming.
Val-Halla, a restored P51 Mustang, flying at the 2025 Abbotsford International Airshow. It was supposed to be taking part in the USAF Heritage Flyover alongside the F35 Lightning II but the F35 hand to land due to technical problems so Val-Halla flew on it's own while the RCAF Snowbirds prepared for their performance. Val-Halla was named for both it's pilots Bill Anders wife Valerie and for the Black Knights P51 squadron that was stationed at Keflavik, Iceland during the Cold War. Featured in Explore on September 12th, 2025.
The Patrouille Suisse solo ships perform the mirror formation at low speed. Note the fuel-air mixture flowing out of the overpressure valve in the tail fin of the inverted aircraft. It is not a fuel leak, just the fuel system reacting to negative G loadings. Internationale Luft-und Raumfahrtausstellung (ILA) Berlin 2016.

An F-16 belonged to the 169th Fighter Wing, South Carolina Air National Guard takes off. It's tail has a special paint job to pay tribute to those who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack.
This year, I attended four airshows, and the Viper Demo appeared at three of them. Naturally, I took many photos of the aircraft. Now, however, I’m facing a challenge: I need to sort through all these photos and identify the ones that are different from the ones I posted before.
One of the few pictures I took on the rain-washed Saturday. Actually, I forgot to change the camera settings I used for the Griffon. Look how that turned out. I should try more long exposure panning like this in the future.

The Aero L-39 Albatros is a high-performance jet trainer designed and produced by Aero Vodochody in the Czech Republic. In addition to performing basic and advanced pilot training, it has also flown combat missions in a light-attack role. Unusually, the aircraft never received a NATO reporting name.
The L-39 Albatros was designed during the 1960s as a successor to the Aero L-29 DelfÃn, an early jet-powered principal training aircraft. Performing its maiden flight on 4 November 1968, it became the first trainer aircraft in the world to be equipped with a turbofan powerplant. Quantity production of the L-39 Albatros proceeded in 1971; one year later, it was formally recognized by the majority of the Warsaw Pact countries as their preferred primary trainer. Accordingly, thousands of L39s would be produced for various military customers in Eastern Europe. Additionally, it was exported to a range of countries across the world both as a trainer and a light-attack aircraft. Since the 1990s, it has also become popular among civilian operators. By the end of the century, in excess of 2,800 L-39s had served with over 30 air forces.
