The JSC Sukhoi SU-35S is probably one of my best builds to date. Featuring scaled R-27 ER/ET, R-77, R-73, and R-60 missiles. Along with a detailed cockpit, folding landing gear, moving elevators, accurate December 2012 RUAF paint scheme, this will probably only be beaten if my F-18C turns out well.
Experiencing two P-51 Mustangs going through an aerobatic sequence in tight formation is a rare thing to see at an air show, but “Mad Max” and “The Little Witch” did just that! Fans saw many of the favorite maneuvers spectators love: loops, aileron rolls, barrel rolls, slot rolls, slot loops, slot passes and banana passes.
After the 100th F-35 left the factory, it got its final finish and made a stop in the fuel barn to prepare for its first flight.

This aircraft was originally assigned to VX-9, incurring an incident with a flight of Pelicans, causing Class A damage in March 2001. The aircraft was returned to service ten years later. In fall of 2018 assigned to VMFA 232, becoming the Squadron marked aircraft sometime afterwards.

An F/A-18 Super Hornet roars into the sky with twin afterburners glowing, cutting through stormy skies at the Great Colorado Air Show. The intense orange of the engines against the gray backdrop captures the raw power and speed of modern aviation.
The plane that I was most excited to see fly at the airshow this year! A restored Mikoyan Mig-17 Fresco flying during the 2025 Abbotsford International Airshow. It was unique to see this Cold War era jet. The Mig-17 was actually the most feared fighter plane for a time. No NATO fighters were able to beat it until the F4 Phantom II entered service in the 1960s. It was still cool to see and just as intimidating as it was back in it's prime.
