A relatively new line, Jada Toys has started up their own Street Fighter figure lineup under the Ultra Street Fighter 2 license, which was I believe the collection of Street Fighter 2 games released on console as of late.
A few characters have been announced, and I did my usual, which is jumping on the bandwagon with the first Female release, in this case, Chun Li.
The figure isn't meant to compete with the likes of Storm or Figuarts, but rather offer domestic (target audience, but not the only) the opportunity to get some Street Fighter into their collections for about $25 USD a piece.
Contents are modest, but again, one needs to take into account price point. You get the figure, an alternate head, pair of open palms to accompany the fists, and a Lightning Kick effect with an accompanying stand.
For an American figure, the overall sculpt and production values on this figure are pretty good. I mean, neither of the heads are actually close to being accurate, especially when compared to the official art, and reminds me of the Savage World figure, but at least it didn't come out looking like they forgot to sand it down or painted it with a driveway brush. Nice sculpting of muscles on the legs, with adequate work on the arms. Outfit is simple but crisply done and I like how the blue is textured rather than being smooth. Sash isn't decoed but again, price point. Overall, much cleaner than the NECA SFIV figures, bigger and more complex than the Jakks Pacific ones, and a metric shit ton better than the SOTA releases back in the day.
Articulation is decent. Again, nothing mind blowing here, but in terms of capabilities, it can generally keep up with your typical Legends figure, though admittedly there are no butterfly shoulder joints. Torso options are nice, with some back arch/ab crunch capabilities along with a ball jointed mid torso joint. What I really like is that the neck is actually articulated. As always, general bulk does interfere with the ultimate range of motion on the figure, though admittedly her skirt is very soft and moves out of the way.
Paint work is surprisingly clean, especially where it counts such as on the face. The other detail paint applications are generally quite strong, but some of the yellow striping shows signs of QC issues. Primary character colours are predominately plastic based, which is expected and actually, preferred, as it means the sash is a white piece of plastic as opposed to a horribly painted blue piece.
Build Quality wise, some of the joints were a bit stiff and required a hot water bath just to make sure that nothing would break. The only real complaint is that the plastic used for the Lightning Kick effect is kind of soft, which again, expected not so much for price but rather safety concerns, but again at least it doesn't look like crap. Otherwise, everything is actually solidly built.
In conclusion, collectors looking to add some Street Fighter to their ranks, but aren't willing to dive into the $100 USD price point now have a pretty good alternative. Now will they actually complete the roster? That's a question that only time will tell, but having said that, NOBODY has actually completed their roster, though I think SOTA probably got the closest.

The residents of 94 Wakelee Rd were awaken early Thanksgiving morning to smoke and fire in their second floor condo. Upon dispatch the Waterbury ERC reported that they were getting multiple calls on the fire and the first arriving crews found heavy fire coming from the second floor on the A side of the building. Coupling this with the common attic construction of the 2 story wood frame building command immediately asked for an additional engine and truck company to assist companies on scene. A water supply was established, the roof laddered, and aggressive inward push was made to quickly bring the fire under control. Primary searches by the rescue company were reported as negative as the truck companies trench cut the roof to ventilate and get at any additional hot spots that might be in the attic. The fire was contained to the one unit but there was smoke and water damage in the adjacent condos. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation by the fire marshal's office
