The kings trail in Abisko begins with a lot of woodlands, but not so far in you get to a vast open field that shows you the mountain rich landscape you're heading towards. I like to call it the field of giants.

I'm ready for some cooler temps and fall colors. Took this last November back behind my Mom's house...
Blueberries grow wild in many parts of Maine. Many of the fields are managed and produce such abundant crops that they are a major agricultural product of the state. In the fall the fields turn into glorious visions of autumn colors.Best seen in large format.

The image of the footpath sign "That Way", that I uploaded a few days ago, Nokie mentioned the field on the left of the image, this it is, with the path angled across the field.
With the poor weather this year the farmers are in trouble getting their crops in, the wheat is wet, the ground is to soft for the combine harvester and so on.
