An early morning walk at the beginning of last year. Snow has fiinally arrived here, but so far the sky has been greyish. Am hoping for some good light within the next few days. Also hope that the first few days of 2017 have been good for you all. Thanks for taking the time to have a look/comment/fave/invite ~ always very much appreciated.

Headed out to Hexam swamp this morning with some friends. Was freezing cold, but managed some nice light and a bit of colour in the clouds above this bed of reeds.

In June large purple fields of Alaskan lupine (Lupinus nootkatensis) are a common sight all over Iceland. This plant looks native but in fact it was introduced in Iceland in 1945 to prevent erosion of the soil.
