... Lavender's green, dilly, dilly

Lavender's blue

If you love me, dilly, dilly

I will love you

Let the birds sing, dilly, dilly

And the lambs play

We shall be safe, dilly, dilly

Out of harm's way

I love to dance, dilly, dilly

I love to sing

When I am queen, dilly, dilly

You'll be my king:

Who told me so, dilly, dilly

Who told me so?

I told myself, dilly, dilly

I told me so. - CINDERELLA (movie soundtrack)

Thank you for your visit, most appreciated!

A summers evening in Scotland. This is one of my favourite places. The meadow sits to the right of the river Endrick which meanders through the west of Scotland where it finally reaches Loch Lomond. The area is rich in wildlife including many birds of prey, pine martens and a Sand Martin colony by the river. Spend a summers day here and walk along the river where once Charles Napier once wandered, formulating his tables of logarithms.

Dunnotar Castle is to the immediate left, on the next rocky outcrop.

In June large purple fields of Alaskan lupine (Lupinus nootkatensis) are a common sight all over Iceland. This plant looks native but in fact it was introduced in Iceland in 1945 to prevent erosion of the soil.

Música (abrir en nueva pestaña) / Music (Open link in new tab): The wind that shakes the barley - Solas.

Frente a esos espigados campos barridos por el viento, no pude dejar de evocar la tradicional tonada irlandesa que por título lleva el de "El viento que agita la cebada" así como la película de Ken Loach que de ella adoptó el nombre.

-English:

Facing these windswept fields plenty of grain ears, I could not fail to remember that traditional Irish ballad entitled "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" and the Ken Loach's film of the same title.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to visit.

Here is the famous place for the sunflowers in summer.

And in spring the field is covered with the field mustard.

They enjoy the yellow world in this season.

I introduce some photos.

ここは、夏になるとひまわりで知られた場所です。

それで、春は菜の花に覆われるのです。

この時期、多くの人々は黄色い世界を楽しみます。

It seems the Rihanna Tree isn't photographed as much lately. Back in 2013 popstar Rihanna was forced to disrupt the video shoot for her hit single "We Found Love" in this field when she was told to put on more clothes by the land owner. So from then this tree has been known as "The Rihanna Tree"

This week's Big Excitement for me ! My first excursion with my newly delivered camera took me to our nearest field and it was being harvested. A combine harvester - Oh JOY ! You can see the dust it's kicking up over there on the right near the trees. The driver saw me taking photos and kindly drove down the field again and right past me, smiled and gave me a 'thumbs up'. Isn't it wonderful when people are so kind? Made my day ! (That may be my next upload).

The clouds were beautiful and I loved the lines the newly cut stubble made, so I painted this scene in Topaz Impression 2. I do hope you like it !

As always, thank you so much for your comments, faves or for just looking. Happy weekend to you all ... I hope you find similar kindness and friendliness in everyone you meet.

YOUR kindness has meant this image reached Explore number 79 on 13 August 2016 - thank you all so very much !

More colorful summer vibes.
