Great Pyrenees LGD Fidget dozing in the sun with the wind ruffling her long winter coat.

Shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 in full manual mode, including the focus.

A small fidget lap quilt for my sister. Her dementia is progressing and my niece asked if I could make her a little something. The tabs are sewn down just to the zipper so she can touch and flip the around a bit. The little CANADA pillow is stuffed and only partly sewn down as well. The maple leaf is crinkly and the strings are just sewn in the middle so she can fool around with them. The other items are all different textures and the backing is flannel to keep her lap warm. I hope I will get to see her come summertime.

A couple of weeks ago we were all fidget spinners around here, and of course, these small toys for big kids required photographic documentation. This is more or less a straight up shot however, I can envision plenty of creative photoshop shenanigans taking place with the others.

A bunch of small mulitcolor LED Christmas lights are reflecting off a shiny "fidget-spinner".

This is a 0.8 sec, ISO 3200 f16 photo. The spinner is held by a wooden dowel and photo'd against a black background.

The "eye" is a made by pasting a reduced copy of the whole original picture (rotated 180 degrees) into the middle of that original.

My original a900 is back (un-repaired), after waiting almost two years for a focus drive assembly to arrive :( It will now be a dedicated body for use with my collection of manual focus Tamron Adaptall series lenses, Schneider-Kreuznach DKL mount lenses (Kodak Retina reflex) and Pentax/M42 mount lenses.

Lately I've been working in close to the dogs with a 30mm lens. This was made from about one meter away.

This is a fidget toy, the hexagonal sections shown are individual pieces of plastic and move independently. It can be turned into a cone pointing up, or down. The hexagonal shapes can also be turned creating various shapes (see the link below).

They come in various colours and some are even pearlescent, the colours change in the light as they move when played with.

Alice doesn't mind these personality quirks though, and has stayed with Fidget since she was made.

This is a 3D printed fidget thingy that you fidget with. lol.. It's in the shape of a star. I used filament with lots of sparkly gold within. Zoom in and you can see all the layers. I'm still learning but am having lots of fun. Hope you like. Happy LCoF.

Fidget, seen here watching her flock, takes her livestock guardian duties seriously.

It's the boy again. He's so photogenic and it is Caturday after all.

He's moving to Scotland next week, lots of unfamiliar surroundings and things for him to smell and explore in his new home.

Fidget is back from being spayed. She's eating and drinking, is safe and well-loved, but it has been a long day.

I don't know what about "helping to focus on work", but I know that this toy helps me to focus on spinning it all time;)

exclusive for the Level event ♥

Most of all, Fidget has found something of a brand new sister in the youngest member of the human family; Holly Mirza.

It's amazing how long these things spin! The fidget spinner is a classic fad which seems to have about run its course.

This is the newest fad amongst middle school children. It is the bane of all middle-school teachers right now. It is called "The Fidget". You hold the toy between two fingers and set the wings spinning. The wings are weighted and there are ball bearings to make the toy spin for a very long time. I'm sure all the teachers now have quite the collection of these!!

There, Fidget was able to stay with the family while Alice went to work. The situation worked out especially well as Anita Cullen was one of the most famed and respected roboticists in the field, and could perform regular maintenance on either Fidget or Alice if need be.

Still fidgeting with the Fuji to figure out which combination of settings is going to work best ( Manual mode is out, to quirky and slow ) I am still going to be using the Canons.

A candy cane bribe and a gentle reminder from Fidget that her Santa hat has been on the needles all of December and Time's almost up!

(Not sure I'll get it done in time.)

Yes, can you stay still a moment...and stop fidgeting!!

Hehe she wasn't happy until I let her dress like a Fairy, If only I found her some wings ;D

Isnt this little dress by Sleep Forever the cutest <3

I made this abstract pattern with a shiny "fidget spinner", spinning while it sits off-center on a turntable at 33RPM, under a 10-inch RGB LED "ring-light" with the colors rotating around the ring. So there are "three degrees of spinnery-ness" here, which combine to leave a light-trail that produces the geometric pattern we see here. This image comes from the negative of the original photo.

The original photo is two seconds long, f/8, ISO-100.
