These are labeled as Ficus columnarnis. They appear similar to an upright Ficus macrophylla, but are also very different looking from Ficus macrophylla var. columnarnis, which are from Lord Howe Island and capable of forming a banyan shape in arid climates. Huntington Botanical Gardens and Library in Pasadena, California.

Ficus aurata Miq. Moraceae. CN: [Malay and regional vernacular names - Ara (general to most Ficus); Borneo - Kayu ara, Lamak-lamak, Pompan, Tegong, Topog], Golden hairy fig. Distribution - Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo (throughout the island), Philippines. In severely disturbed sites (belukar, road sides, clearings, etc.) or open sites in Mixed dipterocarp and montane forests up to 1500 m altitude. Common along rivers and streams and hillsides. Often on clay soils, but also on sand and ultrabasic. Understorey tree up to 20 m tall and 20 cm dbh. Stem with white sap. Stipules ca. 10 mm long, hairy. Leaves alternate, simple, tripli-veined, hairy below, toothed margin. Figs ca. 12 mm diameter, yellow-orange, globose, hairy, fleshy, placed along the twigs.

narrow-leaf fig. An evergreen tree that can reach 30m in the tropics, but is much smaller when grown as a houseplant. It has arching branches and glossy, narrow, pointed leaves up to 25cm long. Mature plants may produce inconspicuous, green flowers in spring followed in autumn by small, red fruit.
