Helsinki Finland 14.03.07 - from 'Paivirai' Finland
Another lovely card from Finland! Stamp is lovely too ;-)
At first I was PO'd that I didn't get the light quite the way I wanted it, but then I started digging the whole funeral look here. The whole bird is very iridescent, of course- but the camera only caught the effect on the wings and nape because of the strong side lighting. Very stylish.

Aquest any tambΓ©.
Basically a terrible photo of some sweet figs. I especially like the guy on the left. Give me your thoughts.

Fi is a character from the video game Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I wanted to make her in origami for two reasons: 1) she was fun in the game, always talking in probabilities, 2) she presented a very interesting color change. This second reason proved to be a huge challenge (note that the color change is the same on the front and back). For a model that is relatively symmetrical, her structure is very asymmetrical. Every detail was difficult to design: head, dress, arms... For the details and proportions, I based myself on an image showing the ingame 3D model of Fi. Even with all my successes, this model could still use some improvements.
I roam the farthest reaches of space,
I walk across the harshest terrains, and the deepest valley's.
Ive even gone across X-15e.
I go wherever my work takes me, and I hunt down whoever I need to kill

She's really awesome! This doll is one of the best collector edition from this year signed by Bill Grening . I like a lot her reptilian eyes, her hair color, and the green also reptilian clothes. Very Sci-Fi!

So I tried the Vallejo NMM Paint system for the first time. I know I should be using Citadel & probably will later but I got these dirt cheap + I need some practice with this stuff. Basically, this style of painting is new to me. I have much, much respect for you Legends who can achieve the results. It`s challenging & I nearlly gave up, making a mess & looking nothing like the example from the instructions. At some point after much frustration, I started to get my head around it & found wash & glaze applications where achieving some results. NMM is an illusional effect created by blending shades & lights. The glazes give the effect of metal. I could`nt of picked a more harder technique! I still hav`nt got the desired effect but should get the hang of it after a few figs. This took longer than normal with painting taking up to 80% of the process! I recommend this to any customizers who have yet to try. Yes it is challenging & you fuck up a lot :) but where would all the fun be if it was`nt?
I hope you guys enjoy!
Yet another Thursday evening shot taken from the 25F of the Nomura building where I swim before the usual tequila session with buds.
Non-HDR shot taken with my Lumix point-n-shoot looking North towards the Akihabara Electronics district (that would be why it has that sci-fi Blade Runner look ;-)
