Train: Empty Iron Train from Oulu to Vartius / - Russia with two SR3 (3335 in front)
Der Erzverkehr ganz im Norden Finnlands ist noch immer emsig. Bis zu vier Zugpaare täglich bringen Erzpellets von einer Mine in Russland über Vartius nach Oulu.
Zur Zeit werden die Züge sowohl mit 2x SR2 wie auch mit 2xSR3 bespannt, was etwas Abwechslung vor die langen E-Wagen Schlangen gibt.
Dies hier ist der dritte Erzzug vom Freitag dem 21. August 2021. Er war mit über 3h Verspätung unterwegs, wie die meisten Züge an diesem Tag. Ein Unfall an einem Bahnübergang am Vormittag (Sr1 vs. Auto) hat die Strecke für fast 3h komplett blockiert und der Verkehr hat sich entsprechend aufgestaut.
Dafür kamen dann innerhalb von etwas über 60min drei IC's und zwei Erzzüge auf der Strecke, wo sonst normalerweise so ungefähr alle zwei Stunden ein Zug pro Richtung unterwegs ist.

Les gorges du Fier sont une curiosité naturelle remarquable de France, en Haute-Savoie : une gorge très étroite et profonde que l'on peut visiter grâce à une passerelle fixée à flanc de rocher, aménagée en 1869 par l'architecte annécien Marius Vallin et classée depuis 1943. Cette gorge a été taillée par le puissant torrent du Fier dans la commune de Lovagny à quelque onze kilomètres à l'ouest d'Annecy.

When I saw this plant I was captivated by how much it reminded of looking like a Wi-Fi tower with the older circular transmitter boxes, before the dreaded 5G version or rectangular 4Gs. Though Earth is a digital simulator, a bad hack of the true Earth apparently, consciousness continues to pervade all things, transference is the 1st guarantee of life, (even before you are born) in one form or another and in nature the reaction of transference is seen everywhere, especially when you know what to look for.
3, 6, 9 of the sacred geometry, Fibonacci and rotational nature in response to the light transmission of the hologram "reality" we currently reside in. Tesla was the genius who discovered this as well as free energy; research his findings, and then ask why do we burn coal or risk nuclear devastation?

Train: IC 37 Helsinki - Rovaniemi with SR3 3320
Die ICs von Helsinki nach Rovaniemi sind fest in den Händen der Doppelstrockgarnituren. Bespannt mit SR3 (Vectron) oder SR2. Dieser Abendliche IC37 hatte SR3 3320 vorgespannt und rollt mit entspannten 15min Verspätung nach Norden.
Das Sonnebild wurde zu einer Zitterpartie, die Sonne sank, die Wolken zogen und der blaue Streifen am Horizont wurde immer dünner. Das der IC hinter Oulu dann seine Verspätung noch um ein paar Minuten ausbaute machte die Sache nicht entspannter ... :-)
Bei Akola überquert die Bahn Jakkusivanto - ein riesiger Stausee.

Train: Nachtzug PYO 273 Helsinki - Rovaniemi (+15) with Sr2 3233
13 Wagen hängen hinter der Sr2 3233. Sie kommen aus Helsinki und sind durch die Nacht bis in den hohen Norden gefahren. Nur noch gut eine Stunde ist der Zug unterwegs bis er sein Endbahnhof Rovaniemi erreicht.
Dieser Zug wird komplett mit den "neuen" Doppelstockschlafwagen gebildet ... komplett? Nein, das Bistro gibt es noch nicht als Dosto-Wagen - da wird noch auf einstöckiges Material zurück gegriffen. Ob sich das mal noch ändert?
Der Zug fährt mit etwa +15min Verspätung (was eher unter dem beobachteten Durchschnitt liegt) entlang des Kemijoki Stausees.

Train: PYO269 from Kolari to Helsinki with VR Dr16 2821 and 2806
Alle zwei Tage verkehrt der Nachtzug nach Kolari und verbindet das abgelegen Dorf in Nordwest Finnland mit Helsinki.
Natürlich gibt es den Nachtzug nicht nur wegen Kolari, sondern wegen der ganzen Gegend - die bei Urlaubern (Finnische wie Internationale) sehr beliebt ist.
Der Zug verkehrt ab Tornio über die nicht Elektrifizierte Strecke immer der Finnisch - Schwedischen Grenze entlang bis zu seinem Endbahnhof. Der Nachtzug nach Kolari ist so denn auch der letzte Diesellokbespannte Personenzug in Finnland überhaupt.
Üblicherweise verlässt der Zug Kolari Abends um 19:42 Uhr. Im Hochsommer ist das insofern kein Problem, dass die Sonne so weit im Norden, noch nördlich des Polarkreises, natürlich lange genug scheint. Das Problem ist eher die Strecke, die im flachen Land meist im Wald trassiert ist. So hat man trotzdem nicht wahnsinnig viele Möglichkeiten den Zug noch ohne Schatten zu fotografieren. Im Bahnhof von Sieppijärvi ist, dank der Brachfläche, eine solche Möglichkeit. Und dank der Drohe kommt man auch über die Baumkronen und sieht etwas mehr von der Landschaft :-)
Der Zug ist bespannt mit zwei Dr16 Loks. Von ursprünglich 23 gebauten Exemplaren sind im Sommer 2024 noch deren 10 im Einsatz. Mit der laufenden Inbetriebnahme der neuen Dr19 von Stadler werden die Dr16 vermutlich sehr bald überflüssig. Auch mit diesem Nachtzug nach Kolari hat es bereits Versuchsfahrten gegeben.

This reflection is of a vintage printing stamp from the US. I wanted to create a reflection that showed something the RIGHT way round when shot, so a printers block was perfect.
Incidentally I looked up Sol Kesslers Hi-Fi Shop and apparently it was a stereo emporium that was open from the 1950’s through to the 80’s.
