Some of the pulp sci-fi books in my collection. My favourite author is Edwin Charles Tubb: tinyurl.com/2uhm9v
Use large yogurt pots, add scored card panels, add wire, beads and then a couple of control panels were made and applied: www.flickr.com/photos/15220207@N06/24759600362/in/album-7...
Undercoat with plastidip for durability, then paint with cheap acrylic. I used lots of thin layers, sponges, washes, dry-brushing, etc.
You can stack them in different ways to create terrain, and stack them for storage.

Jeppe added some more ink yesterday.
He is a very talented guy.
He is also the only one causing me so much pain without getting my right fist across his nose.
But that will never happen.
If it would, I can see myself waking up with a tat with a pelican drinking beer,
Or a pair of scissors tattoed on my forehead.
I don´t want that.

Originally developed as an unpiloted "Cruise Missile", the Fiesler FI.103 was also known as the FZG 76 or V1. Code named Kirschkern (cherry-stone). The V1 first flew on December 24, 1942 at Peenemunde-West..
.
The piloted version of the FI.103, code named Reichenbert, was heavily promoted by Flug Kaptian Hanna Reitsch. Piloted trials began at Larz in September 1944, and Hanna Reitsch made one of the early flights..
.
Four separate models were developed, three were for training and the fourth, the RE.IV was the only operational model. With a basic instrument panel, the pilot was supposed to guide the FI.103 RE.IV toward the shipping or heavily defended ground targets. After being air launched from a Heinkel He.111 and aiming at the target, the pilot would attempt to bail out. But at terminal dive speeds approaching 500 mph, the odds of successfully exiting the flying bomb were extermely poor..
.
Thousands of 'selfstopfermanner' (self-sacrifice men), volunteered to pilot the FI.103 RE.IV These men were sworn in by signing a statement that read: "I hereby voluntarily apply to be enrolled in the suicide group as a pilot of a human bomb. I fully understand that employment in this manner will result in my death." Only 5./KG200 was equipped with operational FI.103 RE.IVs and the manned missile was never used in combat. However, 2,419 of the unpiloted V1s hit London and 2,448 hit Antwerp, causing hundreds of deaths..
.
This aircraft is a replica built for the Texas Air Museum. It was made as accurate as possible using historical records and measurement from existing FI.103s.
