Bobby and Cammii were both entered in the beginner's stakes since they have only been through a handful of training days. Bobby, my bank bounder, learned how to swim from Cammii who does it with wild abandon.

First, there was a seminar on field training by none other than Bunny Millikin, Field Goddess. Yesterday afternoon was demonstrations.

Today was the Stakes. Cammii was a completely distracted fool, as she can be at times. Bobby was totally on mark for the first part. In his beginners class, he earned reserve. Bunny and Lori Nevins, the other judge, were impressed enough with him to give him a JAM. Pretty good for an almost 9 year old dog.

On a sad note, we learned that Bobby's brother, Almost Eden Slide Rule, died this week of cancer. I don't know all of Slide's titles, but there were many in obedience, agility, field and working. Bobby is getting lots of extra pets, hugs and butt rubs.

My sister's dog, Haley, really can jump!

Fun with a dog, an Orange Lacrosse Ball, and slow exposure values.

This one was 1.3 seconds.

We took Spirit out for the first time today, she was good as gold. I think she is going to be a very natural retriever as she brought her treat pot back to Graham every time he threw it :-)
