Roxy's first time water retrieving

A hiker on crutches lobs balls to her dog under the pines in Piedra Lisa Park in the Foothills.

Garvey has very recently learned to swim, and is now super quick (Its those big webbed paws) and confident. Unfortunately she sometimes optimistically and disobediently swims after ducks and and other acquatic innocents.

She didn't ever let that toy out of her mouth unless you were going to throw it.

We went to Dog Beach in San Diego where dogs are allowed to run off-leash and socialize with other dogs and their owners. It is always great fun.

I love her ears in this picture .. she looks so happy!

I explored a little bit with turning my shutter speed up to see if I could get a good picture of her running back to me. It turned out decent but not what I was hoping for. I threw some snow and she ran back to me with more in her mouth.

That dog was so happy to be playing at the beach. He'd fetch the frisbee and then start bouncing around for it to be thrown again.
