My director and I decided to set aside our work obligations for a few hours and go hike in the nearby hills. We took our MoveOn sponsor's dog with us and let her play a little in the stream.

Similar to Day 181, I had set up a 10-second timer shot and was just going to pose by the stream, but then Sydney the wonderdog came flying up looking for something to fetch and I tossed a stick just as the camera snapped.

I can't resist taking pictures of dogs.

Asia and her weed eater cord....cannot help but take photos of this now and again. She will play fetch all day sometimes if you are willing. epetmeadow.com

Training a good Morel hunter is hard work.

Fox cub playing fetch with what looks like an old corn cob. It would drop it and the mother would pick it up and take it into the bushes and the cub would then go and find it and bring it out again.

She did tend to get distracted (we are talking about a cat here).

Yes, her water bowl was a dog dish. When she was little, she insisted on hooking a paw under her bowl and shaking it to watch the water splash. This would usually lead to spilling the whole thing. So I got her a bowl she couldn't lift. I'm no fun at all.
