yes, the end is officially upon us -- i've uploaded video... :)
this is probably Teddy's favorite activity, so what better subject for my first flickr video!
Henry knows how to fetch...if it's for something he wants, such as a rawhide bone. We're training him to learn the word "fetch" and plan to try using a tennis ball or toy bone next.
Bix is a dudley -- he's got chocolate Lab pigmentation, which explains why he has green eyes and a brown nose, instead of the standard brown eyes and black nose. He's very, very light blond and tends not to like to be in the sun for very long.
Fetch was one of the first outright awesome FTP clients for any platform, and Noah still had version 2.0 installed on the machine. Again, this was a good thing, since it was the way that I was able to get his files off of the machine, and able to get a secure deletion utility *onto* the machine to get rid of any trace of his files.
Turns out Henry is not a defective labrador. Henry has learned how to fetch his most favorite thing, a rawhide bone. In this video he's learning to fetch and seems to know to "give" it to the one with the treats, not the camera.

I was going to choose the best of my series but really couldn't choose ... so this is a limited set.
This is probably my favrouristest though.
I tell people that my Tortoiseshell cat, Simone loves to play fetch. They exclaim, "Dude, cats are not dogs." I reply, "Umm, thanks Captain Obvious, but my cat does, will, and loves to play fetch.
If a photo is worth a thousands words, how much more is a video proving my gata's skills as a dog.

Spikey fetching his toy. He runs pretty fast so I caught this with a Hi-sync flash setting and set the auto-focus to AI Servo on the camera.
