My dog, Maggie, a border collie who wants to play fetch. Although I through the ball, she usually makes the shots.
this was worth the long walk in the cold, in my heavy steel toe boots.
i sat by the beach with my thermos, writing postcards, reading from my book, being a bit over-whelmed...mostly being a massive nerd
This southern masked weaver is carefully considering where to weave this shred of palm leaf into his nest. Every time he fetched new building material, he first sat on a branch looking at his nest before flying to his nest to do the work.
Watercolour on 300 lb Arches. 10" x 14". This painting was done on commission. I took about 25 photos of these two dogs running and playing in the yard. The black collie dog was less aggressive than the Lab. He would always let the lab get the stick. I created this composition from several of the photos.

NOTE: You can do action shots with a manual focus lens by simply picking a big enough f-stop, and pre-focusing where you think the action will be. Hershey, the wonder dog, is in prefect focus here. The toy she has in her mouth is a special "soft" Frisbee like thing that she enjoys chasing.
