The detail on this model is jaw dropping- it really is, it isn't until you actually paint him that you appreciate just how much detail is in there, yes the cast was slightly flawed on places like the blood drop shaped gems (not forgetting the nose!) but I still really enjoyed painting this miniature. The mini came with an old 25mm base so I wanted to do something with it and used a rough copy I made of Ferrus Mannus' base and it has came out rather nicely even if I do say so myself.

Il vento che spirava da nord sferzava con i suoi artigli gelidi le chiome degli alberi. Orsetto trotterellava per i prati innevati, attento ad ogni minimo sussurro. Ad un tratto, dietro un albero di arancio, intravide un pupazzo di neve che declama, con voce glaciale -fatto dovuto alla particolare anatomia nevosa-, alcuni dei sonetti di Shakespeare:
“Più d'una volta ho visto lo splendido sole del mattino blandire le cime dei monti con sovrano sguardo, baciare con raggiante volto i verdi prati, indorare pallidi ruscelli di magica alchimia…”
“Ho trovato un pupazzo di neve poeta!” – gridò Orsetto estasiato, avanzando con passo rapido.
Maggiore fu la sua sorpresa nel vedere che il pupazzo di neve presentava un particolare dimorfismo sessuale tipicamente maschile! Le sue teorie stavano prendendo forma: se esisteva un maschio, avrebbe trovato anche una femmina! Dopo una breve chiacchierata, una bevuta di Filu 'e ferru ed una foto ricordo Orsetto si mise alla ricerca del pupazzo di neve femmina...

The CKM.1982 is a machine gun for the new era of warfare: a highly modifiable emplacement weapon capable of being mounted on a variety of vehicles as well as simply shredding enemy infantry. It has been nicknamed the "Graal" or "Grail" by crews, but nobody quite knows why. The Graal fires a new round, 12.81 mm x 102 mm Ferrus, which is capable of shredding both flesh and light armor. Though not as effective at anti-vehicle operations as a 35 mm autocannon, the CKM.1982 does its purpose very well, and that is all that matters to the Polish Ground Force brass.

Les chemins de fer de la Corse (CFC), ou camini di ferru di a Corsica (en corse), sont un réseau ferroviaire à voie métrique d'une longueur de 232 km, qui relie entre elles quatre des principales villes de la Corse. Les Corses l'ont surnommé u Trinichellu (« le petit train »). Sa fonction est le transport de voyageurs, avec des liaisons intervilles, des services suburbains à Bastia et Ajaccio, ainsi qu'un service touristique sur la côte de la Balagne.
Les CFC étaient également une société publique de droit privé qui employait le personnel et détenait la majeure partie du matériel roulant, mais qui n'exploitait pas directement le réseau corse. L'exploitation fut assurée, au cours de son histoire, par trois compagnies privées et le service des Ponts et Chaussées, avant d'être confiée à la SNCF début 1983. L'infrastructure ferroviaire étant la propriété directe de l'État français jusqu'au 22 janvier 2002 et appartient maintenant à la Collectivité territoriale de Corse (CTC), qui est par ailleurs l'autorité organisatrice de transport depuis le 13 mai 1991.
Au 1er janvier 2012, la SNCF n'assure plus le service commercial du réseau, la collectivité territoriale ayant choisi de confier l'exploitation à une société d'économie mixte (SEM) constituée à cet effet. La société nationale garde cependant un rôle de conseil technique dans cette structure.
Les deux lignes des chemins de fer de la Corse ne font pas partie du réseau ferré national.
Réseau :
Long de 232 km, le réseau actuel est composé de deux lignes à voie unique et à écartement métrique.
Il dessert 16 gares et 49 haltes et compte 1592 ouvrages d’art dont 59 viaducs et 57 tunnels.
Le croisement des rames s'effectue dans certaines gares équipées d'une voie d'évitement. Une commande centralisée de voie unique est en projet sur la ligne principale Bastia - Ajaccio pour gérer les circulations, avec une signalisation modernisée. Elle pourrait être opérationnelle en 2024...........

Veloci, eleganti e spericolati, abili cavalieri rinnovano ogni anno l’antica tradizione nella stretta via Roma. Durante gli ultimi tre giorni di Carnevale, ha luogo a Santu Lussurgiu Sa Carrela 'e nanti" è una delle esibizioni a cavallo fra le più spericolate, si svolgono dentro il paese e l'elemento che caratterizza la corsa de "Sa Carrela " sono le pariglie. Esperti cavallerizzi, preparati di tutto punto, si lanciano in pariglie a due e
talvolta a tre, al galoppo, lungo un percorso sterrato, tra curve, restringimenti e con decine di persone, incuranti del pericolo, assiepate nel percorso. I cavalieri in questi tre giorni fanno a gara per mettere in mostra la loro abilità e la bellezza dei loro cavalli, strigliati al punto giusto per l'occasione. In passato, al lunedì, si correva "sa pudda" ed il cavaliere al galoppo doveva colpire con un bastone una gallina VIVA che penzolava da una corda; oggi, per fortuna, questa raccapricciante e crudele cerimonia è stata soppressa e la gallina l'hanno sostituita con un pupazzo di stoffa.Unite o disunite, "sas parezas" (le pariglie) fanno spettacolo. Veloci, eleganti e in ogni caso spericolate. Per quasi tre ore, ogni anno,rinnovano l’antica tradizione .
Acclamati da due ali di folla, per nulla intimorita dalla vicinanza con i cavalli. Gli eroi per un giorno, per tutta la sera, tengono tutti con il fiato sospeso.Danno come sempre dimostrazione di coraggio, ma soprattutto di balentia, di valore.Si comincia alle tre del pomeriggio e il percorso di via
Roma ancora è semivuoto. Silenzioso. Qualcuno comincia a prendere posto nelle tribune. Altri cominciano il proprio giro tra le case del centro. Dove i bicchierini di fil’e ferru sono già colmi e i vassoi di dolcetti sono ancora pieni. Nel frattempo a s’iscappadrorzu (luogo dove comincia la corsa) arrivano le prime pariglie, già pronte a lanciarsi al galoppo. La gente in poco tempo invade ogni angolo de sa carrela: le piazzette, gli ingressi delle case e persino i balconi. Ogni anno i colori e la fantasia dei costumi è particolarmente varia. Se qualcuno ha deciso di indossare il tradizionale abito sardo, molti altri si sbizzarriscono: dai classici indiani ai gendarmi francesi, dai messicani agli zorro. Il tempo, non spaventa nessuno: la tradizione si ripete alla stessa maniera, ogni anno, anche sotto la pioggia e la neve.
Autoscatto fatto sulle gigantesche dune di sabbia di Torre dei Corsari, nella parte nord della Costa Verde, Sardegna sudoccidentale.
Era forse l'unica parte della Sardegna dove non ero mai stato in vita mia e quindi ci andai molto volentieri quando decidemmo di fare un "gitone" di una giornata intera partendo da Villasimius, dove eravamo ospiti di Anna e Andrea con Raffa e Rossella.
Partimmo alla mattina presto, ancora stororditi dal Filu e Ferru della notte prima, attraversammo tutto il sud della Sardegna, passammo oltre Cagliari, prendemmo la Carlo Felice verso nord e uscimmo a Guspini, prendendo poi le stradine verso Montevecchio e le vecchie miniere di bauxite intorno ai monti Arcuentu, dentro la Costa Verde.
Strade bianche, in mezzo ai boschi, passando attraverso i paesini fantasma, abbandonati dopo la chiusura delle miniere decenni fa. Paesaggi molto belli e in fondo dopo molti chilometri di sterrato si arriva al piccolo paesino di Tunaria, da dove si ritrova la strada asfaltata e in pochi minuti si arriva a Torre dei Corsari, una delle due aree con le gigantesche dune che caratterizzano l'area; l'altra è Su Piscinas, situata a circa 17 km più a sud.
La duna di Torre dei Corsari arriva ad avere una lunghezza totale di circa 900 metri ed è alta circa 300 metri sul mare.
Quella più grande di Su Piscinas arriva addirittura a 2.5 chilometri di lunghezza e supera i 350 metri.
