Percorrendo la panoramica strada provinciale 49 che collega gli abitati di Bosa e Alghero, si raggiunge, in località Serra Nudda, una piazzola di sosta nota come “Su Ferru de su Caddu” da cui si gode di un panorama mozzafiato.

Cuglieri ist eine italienische Gemeinde (comune) mit 2671 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2016) in der Provinz Oristano auf Sardinien. Die Gemeinde liegt etwa 31 Kilometer nördlich von Oristano am Monte Ferru.
Cuglieri (Sardinian: Cùllieri) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Oristano in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northwest of Cagliari and about 42 kilometres (26 mi) north of Oristano.
Il Nuraghe Tradori spicca isolato su una piccola emergenza, in un territorio solitario cosparso di importanti tracce di epoca preistorica. Formato da massi di pietra scura, forse ricavati dalle colate laviche del massiccio vulcanico di Monte Ferru, il Tradori è stato usato fino a tempi recenti come dimora dai pastori, e ancora vi si trovano tracce di fuoco o di bivacco. Anche se molto danneggiato a causa dei crolli, il Tradori, come tutti gli altri edifici di questo genere, emana un fascino incredibile, e a me personalmente è molto caro perché è uno dei primi nuraghi che ho ammirato e fotografato.

« Savez-vous que j’ai accueilli Saint Pierre à la maison pendant une semaine, padre? »
La femme qui me donne, sous forme de question, cette information ébouriffante, est la signora Correnti au côté de qui je sers la « minestra », la soupe légumes et de « pasta » à quelques uns des 1500 SDF que la paroisse de la Natività accueille le jeudi sous l’impulsion de son phénoménal curé Don Pietro Sigurani, « Don Piè » (1936-2022).
Nous sommes à Rome vers 1993 et, tandis que mon esprit s’envole vers le temps de l’empereur Néron, l’année 64 qui vit peut-être la mort de Saint Pierre, crucifié la tête en bas, la sympathique et corpulente mamma me transporte, elle, en 1963.
Cette année-là, le pape Paul VI confie personnellement à son époux, l’anthropologue Mario Correnti l’expertise des ossements trouvés vers 1945 dans la cavité d’un mur près d’une pauvre tombe placée exactement sous l’autel de la Basilique Saint Pierre.
Malgré l’opposition véhémente du prestigieux jésuite Antonio Ferrua qui refusera toujours de voir dans ces ossements les restes de saint Pierre jusqu’à sa propre mort en 2003, à 103 ans, Paul VI a écouté les arguments d’une femme, l’épigraphiste Margherita Guarducci qui a déchiffré les graffiti sur le mur où restèrent cachés durant des siècles les ossements: « Ici est Pierre », « Jésus » « Marie ».
Entre une prostituée italienne à la dignité impressionnante, un polonais qui marche chaque nuit pour lutter contre le froid et des maghrébins qui me chantent les louanges de leurs anciens employeurs français, madame Correnti précise: "mon mari m’a dit que l’expertise a été particulièrement facile: nous avions sur la table les ossements d’une seule personne, un homme entre 60 et 70 ans, d’un mètre 65 environ, particulièrement robuste.
Bien que le temps avait presque réduit le corps en poussières, il était remarquable que subsistaient des fragments de toutes les parties du corps sauf des pieds." Exception notable puisqu’elle rejoignait la tradition d’une crucifixion la tête en bas qui permet de penser que les romains se sont épargnés la peine de déclouer les pieds ou délier les chevilles et ont rendu le corps aux proches après un ou deux coups de glaive.
Autre fait notable: les os portent la trace rouge du tissu qui les a enveloppés. La couleur et le fil d'or mêlé au tissu contrastent avec la pauvreté de cette tombe. Mais la présence d'un tel tissu aurait presque autant surpris dans les riches sépultures avoisinantes car il s'agit d'un tissu impérial qui rejoint l'histoire de la construction de la première basilique Saint Pierre, vers 324, à la demande de l'empereur Constantin. Ce dernier a fait envelopper d'un manteau impérial la dépouille du "Prince des Apôtres" selon le titre gravé sur la façade de l'actuelle basilique.
L'emplacement de l'édifice est une aberration architecturale et s'explique par la position de la tombe de l'Apôtre: alors que le Cirque de Caligula et Néron dans lequel fut crucifié Saint Pierre offrait un grand terrain plat, l'empereur voulu que l'autel de la Basilique soit à l'aplomb de la tombe ce qui obligea une ingénierie et des frais considérables pour bâtir la Basilique en partie sur la colline du Vatican.

A celebrare il ricordo della costruzione del ponte sopra il Canale era il testo, ormai poco leggibile "Pons ferrus pensilis primus in Italia/contructus An MDCCCXXX/ Impensis Not. Vitalis quondam Aloysii Priè/Delineante Arch. R. Inspector Ignatio Michela ad Alladio". La costruzione si deve al notaio Priè, segretario e poi sindaco di San Giorgio Canavese, che lo aveva richiesto per consentirgli di accedere al proprio villino direttamente dalla strada che collegava San Giorgio ed Agliè. Nonostante il grave stato di degrado, questo ponte sospeso a cavi di ferro costituisce uno tra i più significativi esempi di costruzioni metalliche avviate in via sperimentale in Europa a partire dagli anni Settanta del XVIII secolo.

Celebrating the memory of the construction of the bridge over the Canal was the now unreadable text "Pons ferrus pensilis primus in Italia/contructus An MDCCCXXX/ Impensis Not. Vitalis quondam Aloysii Priè/Delineante Arch. R. Inspector Ignatio Michela ad Alladio". The construction is due to the notary Priè, secretary and then mayor of San Giorgio Canavese, who had requested it to allow him to access his villa directly from the road that connected San Giorgio and Agliè. Despite the serious state of deterioration, this suspension bridge with iron cables is one of the most significant examples of metal constructions started on an experimental basis in Europe starting from the 1870s.

A remarkable spot on the northern coast of Corsica known as Balagna (Balagne) is the small fortified town of Algaiola (Algajola), which is served by the CFC branch line from Ponte à a Leccia to Calvi. A CFC Soulé X97050 + XR9700 consist as train 308 of the Calvi-L'Isula Rossa (Ile Rousse) local service (formerly known as "tramways de la Balagne") is observed here from San Damianu harbour. High on the hill above the train, Sant'Antulinu (Sant'Antonino), which is said to be one of the most picturesque villages of Corsica (and France), can be seen, while on the hillside above Algaiola, between San'Anghjelu (Sant'Angelo) mountain to the left and Capu Corbinu mountain to the right, the monastery Saint-Dominique is visible. The small village close to the monastery and below Capu Corbinu is Pigna; May 23, 2018.

Il filu 'e ferru o fil' 'e ferru chiamata in italiano Acquavite di Sardegna è un'acquavite di origine sarda il cui nome, tradotto letteralmente, significa "filo di ferro".
specie un tempo diffusa su tante zone isolane, purtroppo l'avvoltoio grifone negli anni '80 si è ridotto ad una presenza di circa 60-70 individui con 20-22 coppie nidificanti localizzate nei territori di Bosa e di Alghero. Tra il 1987 e il 1989 con un progetto di "Restocking" effettuato in collaborazione dalla L.I.P.U. (Lega Italiana Protezione Uccelli) e dalla Regione Sardegna, sono stati immessi nel Monte Ferru di Cuglieri 36 grifoni, portando così a circa un centinaio il numero complessivo di avvoltoi attualmente presenti nell'isola. Insieme al capovaccaio, si tratta dell'unica specie di avvoltoio che vive e si riproduce nel territorio italiano. I grifoni sono caratterizzati da una colorazione marrone rossiccia sul dorso e sulla parte superiore delle ali, il petto color sabbia con leggere sfumature rossicce, piumaggio cortissimo sul collo e sulla testa, di color bianco, ed infine la parte inferiore delle ali scura rispetto al dorso. La coda è relativamente corta e l'apertura alare è di 243 – 270 cm. Il volo dei grifoni è caratterizzato da battiti lenti e profondi. Possiedono una netta predilezione per il volteggio, durante il quale tengono le ali leggermente arcuate verso l'alto con dita ben distanziate cosicché il profilo frontale appare simile ad una "V" poco profonda. Possiedono, inoltre, vista ed olfatto acuti, grazie ai quali sono capaci di identificare una fonte di cibo anche a grandi distanze. L'habitat ideale dei Grifoni è l'ambiente aperto, sia montano che collinare, dove gli individui possono localizzare le carogne e nidificare tra gli spuntoni di roccia. Si tratta di una specie piuttosto sociale, che ama stare con i propri simili nelle zone di nidificazione e spesso nella ricerca di cibo.

They also have acute sight and smell, thanks to which they are able to identify a food source even at great distances. The ideal habitat of the griffon vulture is the open environment, both mountainous and hilly, where individuals can locate carrion and nest among the rock outcrops. It is a rather social species, which likes to stay with its own kind in the nesting areas and often in the search for food.

La textura del Ferrús es compacta y su sabor es intenso debido a su proceso de curación.
