Der Fernsehturm Stuttgart, erbaut 1954, ist ein markantes Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Mit einer Höhe von 217 Metern bietet er einen atemberaubenden Blick über Stuttgart und die umliegende Landschaft. Der Turm beherbergt auch ein Restaurant und eine Aussichtsplattform, die Besucher anlocken. Seine einzigartige Architektur und seine Rolle als Kommunikationszentrum machen ihn zu einem bedeutenden Teil der städtischen Skyline.

The Fernsehturm (Berlin), an ex-television transmission tower turned observation deck/bar/restaurant for tourists. Whenever I go to a new city I love the observation towers, it gives you such a good vantage point to get a feel for the place you're visiting.
Fernsehturm Berlin is a television tower in the city centre of Berlin, Germany. Close to Alexanderplatz and part of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT), the tower was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the former German Democratic Republic administration who intended it as a symbol of Berlin, which it remains today, as it is easily visible throughout the central and some suburban districts of Berlin. With its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany.
Apparently it is a devisive structure with some considering it an eye-sore.
