Noticing his private part patina is lighter? That's because people have been touching it, per the report.

A year ago, almost to the day, I had also posted a similar photo of this beautiful wood-carving from my step-father's collection. The moment passed so quickly as the sun shone on the prism for a very short time.

So the only *manipulation* of this capture was done with the frame! Happy Sliders Sunday, everyone.

This morning I noticed a prism reflecting on a single rose which has had a place of honor this past week. Little did we know what was intended as a "Valentine Rose" became a "Funeral Rose" for one of our dearest friends who passed away unexpectedly. We had our first experience with a *zoom* funeral on-line, as the ceremony took place in another state and the family wanted relatives in Europe to be able to view the service and burial. Once again, it was another surreal experience and very emotional, to say the least.

The Botero Museum (in Spanish, Museo Botero) is an art museum located in La Candelaria, the historic and cultural center of Bogota, Colombia's capital. The museum emerged from a donation of works of art by Colombian artist Fernando Botero to the government of his country. This collection consists of 123 works by Botero himself and 85 other works of international art, covering the period from the mid-nineteenth century to contemporary art. Opened in 2000, the museum is maintained by the Bank of the Republic of Colombia. It occupies a building in colonial style, former headquarters of the Luis López de Mesa Hemeroteca, today belonging to the Luis Ángel Arango Library cultural complex.

represent their faith,

speaking to the issues of faith through a faith prism

This moment came and passed within less than a minute,

and I was excited to capture the prismatic spirit of a bird as I quickly clicked!

Fernando Botero

Medellín, 1932

The museum has a set of 123 works by Fernando Botero, the second largest collection of works by this artist, behind only the existing one in the Antioquia Museum. It is composed of oil paintings, pastels, blood, drawings and sculptures, executed mainly in the last twenty years. The production of Botero between the decades of 1940 and 1960 is not represented.

Among the highlights of the collection is the famous Botero version of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, part of the first series of works on violence in Colombia (Pablo Escobar, Tirofijo, Carrobomba, La Masacre de Mejor Esquina, etc.). On the second floor, the museum preserves a collection of small and medium-sized sculptures, executed in bronze and marble.

Woman with Mirror (Spanish: Mujer con espejo) is a 1987 bronze sculpture in Madrid, Spain, by the Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero.

The photo also shows the Christopher Columbus monument, in the center is the sculpture Julia (by Jaume Plensa, 2018), and on the right is the building that houses the National Library and the National Archaeological Museum.

Botero's 1,000-kilogram (2,200-pound) sculpture depicts a nude woman with a large figure lying face down; this body shape is a hallmark of the sculptor.

In May 1994, an exhibition of Botero's works began in Madrid; by September, it had attracted two million visitors.

A survey was taken by the sponsor, in which the most voted sculpture would be gifted for public exhibition in the city.

"Woman with Mirror" was the most voted sculpture.

DESCRIPTION: A voluptuous woman stands at the foot of the Colón Towers, her back to Génova Street.

She lies face down on the ground, staring distractedly toward Colón Square.

She holds a mirror in her hand and holds back her hair, perhaps in a flirtatious gesture.

Her face is indifferent and thoughtful.
