Decaying fenceposts from the old fence surrounding the castle mound. When I was a child, that fence was still standing.

I was comparing Sidmouth snaps back over the past five years, and I reckon this particular bit, encompassing what used to be the coast path and the corner of some poor blighter's garden, has lost somewhere around six to ten feet since 2011.

Positivity for Monday at Hatfield Moors, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

These little notices appeared on fenceposts at Hatfield Moors. I don’t know if there was a trail - I only found 3 on my route, but it is a vast site with numerous footpaths.

They came with '@justfeedmepositivity' on the back, which leads to some websites.

Alongside our little river there is a railing with gold topped posts, this ladybird was scurrying across the top of one of the posts.

I don't kow how this leaf came to land here, but it looked a good subject. Just getting into this macro lark, a bit hit and miss sometimes.

...with much less robust wire fencing. HFF!

It's amazing what one can find at the side of a busy main road; a miniature world with its own barbed wire protection! Spotted this mini planet at the edge of the A6 at Shap Fell in Eastern Cumbria whilst waiting for the Tour of Britain peloton to arrive.

A very photographable fence, with silver rusting posts, barbed wire and the occasional tangle of chains, locks and even vegetation. (029b)

I nearly got hit by a truck when I stopped to take this picture of the barn and fencepost. After that, I just snapped from the car window as we drove along.

Being on my own again, I could have a good pfaff taking shots!

Nationally scarce, & quite big (for the UK at least) jumping spider was the find of the day. Pretty well camouflaged in its "natural" habitat - on an old wooden bridge - too.
