Stark contrast between the epic beauty of the mountains and the plain, unending ranch land of Wyoming. I took this on a small stop between Rawlins and Casper, and every direction held a different climate. It was so incredibly quiet. I love it when my breath on the wind sounds loud, and I'm afraid to move and startle the world with a sound.
These beautiful sculptures are carved by hand out of old Kansas fenceposts, from Limestone millions of years old. Standing over 5ft tall each one is a work of art by a local artisan. The stone is porous so moss and lichen will happily grow on the rock contributing to their originality and beauty.
Measurements: 5'6" tall x 16" wide

What do you do with a worn-down diamond-tipped drill bit? If you run a remote oil refinery, you use it as a fence post.
Up by the top of the waterfall there is constant mist which makes the top of the fencepost wet enough for the lichen and moss to grow.
A large crop circle appeared in the field next to Kennel lane in Cookham Dean.. or is it just a fence post..
On a side note, I think kennel lane should refer to it's much older name of "Stoney Lane" as their is no kennel their any more and their a gazillion stones their (most of which where dumped here at the end of the last ice age.. the ice sheet came as far as Cookham and would go no further)
Oiled 20yr old pine wood from an old fencepost, bolt-on maple neck with maple fingerboard and custom tortoiseshell scratchplate, staggered brass saddles with Wilkinson stamped steel bridge - this guitar has a snap, a bark and a bite - 3 pickup configurations from a single coil guitar.
Handcrafted by inherited tools. This one's not for sale. Never going to be. A sentimental guitar, played every day
Living fencepost used to hold up plastic netting made from a beach hibiscus branch. Branches will root when stuck in the ground. Beach hibiscus is kolou in Pohnpeian, hau in Hawaiian. Pohnpei, Micronesia.
Super-Multi-Takumar 1.4/50. (Nice chance to explore depth of field on this lens.) My wife and I are at a retreat center this weekend; photos will be taken. :)

Another image using this old facepost we found, which added a great texture in my opinion.
