Feeding the birds can lead to an £80.00 on the spot fine ~ and I'm told that they send out spies!
As the only witness I can vouch for the fact that this lady was not, in fact, feeding the birds.
It's an optical illusion.
FEED THE PEOPLE
That which is good
May it be made an offering to her
May it be made an offering to her
The peopl who walks in the darkness
May it be made an offering to her
May it be made an offering to her
The blue sparkling snow
May it be made an offering to her
May it be made an offering to her
The sage, the sweet grass and the cedar
May it be made an offering to them
May it be made an offering to them
The birch bark and the red willow
May it be made an offering to them
May it be made an offering to them
On the ice the peoples little steps and the happiness
May it be made an offering to them
May it be made an offering to them
The famine
May it be made an offering to him
May it be made an offering to him

The door was open but they weren't. Nancy said that, if I'd stayed in Butterfield and still married her, we might have ended up with a place like this.
The little white dots you see are bugs that the red-winged blackbird was feeding on, I missed all the good shots of him reaching out to snag a snack!
In this shot he's just getting ready to reach out for a bite : )
This is one of those moments I wish I had a longer lens! Watching the adult feed the eaglet was something most will never see. Glad I was there no matter how bad the photo is.

Contorting its neck, a mute swan feeds.
The mute swan (Cygnus olor) of the anatidae family (Swans, ducks and geese).
The mute swan is a very large white waterbird. It has a long S-shaped neck, and an orange bill with black at the base of it. Flies with its neck extended and regular slow wingbeats. The population in the UK has increased recently, perhaps due to better protection of this species. The problem of lead poisoning on lowland rivers has also largely been solved by a ban on the sale of lead fishing weights. Some birds stay in their territories all year, while others move short distances and form winter flocks. In cold weather, some birds arrive from Europe into eastern England..

Bosham ("Bos'm") has been occupied since the Roman period, continuing into the Saxon period (with Bede referring to the area in 681).
Cnut the Great is alleged to have commanded the sea back here (less out of hubris, more to show his devout faith).
Harold Godwinson held the manor here, and the Domesday Book (1086) lists Bosham as one of the wealthiest manors.
In the Medieval period Bosham was an important harbour.
