This is the charger cord for a small remote controlled helicopter. When it is plugged into the computer, but not plugged into the helicopter, a red light glows. When the cable is also plugged into the helicopter to charge, the light turns off. This is not in line with the conceptual of charging electronics, which is a glowing red light means charging, and when either the light turns off or turns green it is fully charged. Since the feedback is opposite the conceptual model it is ineffective visual feedback.

This is an example of negative feedback because you cannot see through the lid and often cannot predict when the hot coffee will hit you mouth.
