If you think about it, this is so true, feedback from our peers is probably the type of feedback we crave most - young or old.
Unedited-hoping for some feedback on my concepts ahead of editing. Apologies for the large amount of images, would love some feedback on the ones you consider strongest...
The images capture everyday scenes, domestic in nature, highlighting formal qualities such as shape, line, colour, texture.
Having a background in painting, I tend to capture and read the photographs that way.
They act as a window into the lives of those who move through these spaces, giving clues and story telling. I'm thinking my work fits more into the 'Portraiture' theme...but also could work for the 'urban landscape' theme too?
Any and all feedback welcomed!
if you have a recent version of Flash on your browser and a few minutes to spare, I created a slideshow (opens in a new window) from photos from the Senior Portrait session I did with this young lady. It's set to music and, while not absolutely necessary, without the music it's not quite the same experience. Anyway, this was done to serve as a portfolio -- a sample Senior Portrait session -- and I'd like to hear what you think of it.

Update: now set to music.
Formal qualities emulated: Close distance, Shallow depth of field, complimentary colors.
Lighting: Speedlight w/ red gel (background). Computer monitor w/ blue wallpaper (lighting microphone)
As you can see, I have been using Etsy quite a bit longer than I have been using eBay. I don't frequently purchase items on Etsy, but I have received positive feedback from the stores I have purchased from.
Great afternoon at the opening of the refurbished Aberdeen Art Gallery. Impressed with this Japanese inspired work. @abdnartmuseums #aberdeenatleisure #aberdeenartgallery #harajuku #kennyhunter
The F16 was the first fighter aircraft to use a digital "fly by wire" flight control system.
Counterintuitively, the Flying Falcon is designed aerodynamically unstable.
This aero characteristic is moderated and controlled by a computerized Negative Feedback system.
This combination gives the "Viper" its "heart-stopping" 9G maneuverability.

Thanks to www.beyond-snapshots.com they have helped me with Photoshop! I was always so afraid to use it and was using Mac or other software I was familiar with, such as Express Digital Darkroom. It's a blog about helping anyone from a mom with a camera to a professional photographer wanting to expand their skill "beyond snapshots".
So as a result, I took one of my photo's from a previous upload and edited in PS. Someone critiqed me and said she loved my work but my images seemed a little dull. I couldn't agree more but didn't know the trick of how to make those images POP! Thanks to Tracy and Peta! I've got a lot more to learn but I think this took me to a whole new level to start with. I can't wait to learn more!
Please, if anyone has any pointers or wants to share some tips/techniques with me - my door is WIDE open! Come on in :D
P.S. Photoshop help . . . How do you get blue eyes so stinkin' blue? Also what is the trick to sharpen? And clone? I've figured out how to clone, but blending it I have not. How do you get the whites of the eyes to pop?
