a blue green video feedback grab

Dear friends, thank you so much for your support - for visiting, for faving, for your encouraging comments, for sharing your inspiring images. Basically, the Flickr community is the only audience for my photography, so to me your feedback is what applause is for an artist. The challenge to surprise you with new and more exciting creations is one major driver for me to learn and improve.

But as much as I love and need Flickr (admittedly :-) - it's time to take a break. There will be little time for me in the upcoming weeks, and I feel I need some new and fresh ideas as well. Time to gain some distance.

Have a great time everybody and see you back in June!

Im always experimenting with photography, this here is actually light sensitive photographic print paper that I put in the camera to see what I could do with it. turned out much better than I thought. Its not as perfect as film in that the lights blow out too quick but its a cheap way to experiment and use an old camera. I metered the paper at 6 ISO, developed in rodinal under red safe light. I have alot more to learn.

Finally! happy with this technique of extracting the background! I've now done it about eight times, and have committed the procedure to memory.

The model was not shot by me, but I have been helping a friend with his "glamour retouching".

Background is wrapping paper (I photographed) - not sure about copyright problems here - if anyone can enlighten me ... thanks.

I worked from a not very high resolution original, and there seemed to be a lot of compression artifacts. Click for the before-and-after edit in large. Let me know what you think!

I know that some people may not particularly like this ship, but I think it turned out really, really well. After all, this is Star Wars a ship that is entirely my design and very creative.

The pictures didn't turn out too well today - I was having a very hard time. Either way, pictures do not do this build justice.

Features:

* Opening cockpit

* Removable seat/controls and landing gear

* Spot for full minifig pilot and head of astromech droid

* Operating foils (little wings)

* Two gun turrets

* Opening cargo bay in rear

======================================================

I pulled inspiration from multiple areas, including an actual Star Wars gunship for the cockpit design and previous models I have built for the structure. The size/compactness of the ship was inspired by .Tromas!

This split-screen effect happening here is the result of some kind of ground loop introduced by a wonky VCD recorder that was connected but not being used.

Would welcome some feedback in this image and constructive criticisms.

Hey guys, I want some feedback with some of the combinations I've been trying out on my Green Arrow figure. Let me know which one you guys like best, or which combo would work better (if it's not shown). In the end I might not even go with what is preferred, but I would still love the feedback!

Personally my favorite at the moment is A as well as D but with regular green arms (not shown)

--- KICKSTARTER UPDATE ---

The Enter the Brick - A book in the wall project has reached 20%, which is great and shows there is interest.

Due to some feedback and serious consideration, I have installed another level of support.

Some see this as an artist endeavor. others as a book project. In order to provide both with a book and back this campaign there is now a a basic version of the book available too.

This contains either a softcover version or a digital version. The digital version starts from 24€ which I presume reasonable and affordable, especially for those who can't /won't back the project with a large tier, but still find the series great and would like to support and even have a book later ;-)

So if you like the project and haven't supported yet, or just have been uncertain or even haven't heard of the campaign until now, head over to the project and see what you can do and what you can get.

I will need any help possible to make this project happen.

Hair Ice usually forms on deciduous twigs and branches. It is thought to be caused by a fungus Exidiopsis effusa which coats the ice as it forms at the mouth of cracks and fissures in the wood, creating the ice filaments. This cannot be that!

This Hair Ice is forming on the fruiting body of Root Rot fungus (Heterobasidion annosum) rather than on dead wood. I can find no record of this before, and I am waiting on feedback from the BMS as to it's possible significance.

Please let me know if you have photos of similar, or even heard of this happening elsewhere.

Comments always appreciated, as long as you keep it clean - I love to hear your feedback! xx
