The DSTV explora decoder is certainly one of the most popular decoders in use today. It has great program options for viewers of all ages and also cool features such as recording. Multichoice has gone a step further to upgrade the decoder and it now has almost anything a viewer would want as listed below.

The decoder has a new interface and easy to use remote

Everyday users of remotes know that its ease of use is definitely a priority; this factor is well catered for in the new explora decoder. Moreover, the decoder comes with an easy to use remote that excludes the alternate function mode which many found complicated. The new one features a big blue home button where all content can be retrieved.

Enhancing it is no big deal

The processing speed has gone up to 5900rpm from the previous 5400 rpm.

The decoder’s price has gone up by 67% and the new price is now around R2 499, which is somehow expected because of all the upgrades that have been made.
