MONROVIA, Liberia--A U.S. Coast Guard small boat crew, from the Coast Guard Cutter Forward, look for safety hazards in the water before the cutter moors at a pier in Monrovia, Liberia, during an international mission in support of the Africa Partnership Station (APS) June 17, 2011.
The Forward is the primary operational APS platform in 2011, and will be working with our African partner nations to conduct professional exchanges in many areas, including seamanship, search and rescue operations, environmental stewardship, maritime awareness, law enforcement, medical readiness and navigation.

Featured Painting “Mirage” – A World of Ambiguity
My Mirage, a fantastic painting, was based on a vision visited me when I was falling asleep but with enough mental presence to get up to make quick notes – a distant town, whose outlines barely discernible, in the manner of those commonly seen in old Dutch or Flemish landscape paintings, overwhelmed by several enormous and boldly sketched black feathers floating above the sky. Behind those dark and somewhat ominous feathers, a delicately pretty pale blue sky flashed through persistently. Yet, despite the seemingly menace, those dark feathers also looked rather protective and comforting. A world of ambiguity.

Carver Jeff Pinney, of Harmarville, spends his afternoon working on a bear sculpture on Monday, June 18, 2012 at The Mountain Shoppe in Jones Mills. Pinney has been carving for 13 years after he was inspired while on vacation in Redwood National Park. Many of his pieces follow a North American theme, including wildlife, cowboys and indians. "For some [sculptures], it's like tying shoes. I can do it over and over again."

Indoor Tabletop Water Fountain Feature - Fountains / Features
A tabletop fountain is a great home accent and they will bring a sense of serenity to your indoor space. The water and natural elements bring a little bit of nature indoors. Our indoor tabletop fountains are made with hand thrown ceramic, copper, stainless steel and natural elements such as slate, gemstones, crystals and bamboo. The features made of semi precious stones often include a rotating object on the fountain such as a crystal sphere which rotates using water pressure, bringing movement to the table fountain which is both interesting and soothing to watch. Table fountains are ideal accents for small rooms and office desks where space is a concern. They easily fit into small spaces such as the corner of a desk, a bedroom table, mantle, around door entryways and coffee tables.

Tried again with the water on the 1/3. I tried to angle it a bit to make the water more obvious but think I've lost some of the impact of the spiral pattern?
