I'm planning on featuring' two' of my favorite photographers from my contact list most days (unless i'm busy, sick or have forgotten) as a way of showing my appreciation for their ongoing support and friendship.

So today i have chosen...

tabamajic

Alice is a very sweet caring woman and another long time contact of mine, who despite having Parkinson's Disease (Just like Michael J Fox), continues to create very colourful and inspiring OOBS , from either her own photos or from her friends on flickr .

She has even done a few for me ! Alice takes requests by the way :)

Alice loves cats (she owns one called Pushkin) and frogs .

Both are featured quite frequently in her photo stream .

The two top rows belong to tabamajic .

Alice is from Sydney, Australia

Dave is another kind hearted flickerite i have known almost since i first started on flickr.

He nearly always has a positive message to share with his photos, to inspire others in their lives .

He is known for his great sense of humor , which is evident in his photo stream ! :)

He is married to a wonderful woman and they live in Bournemouth, England.

He is a true blue Aussie, just like me (but lives abroad ) :)

Feel free to visit either of these talented friendly people to view their amazing images :)

really excited to go to the antique show this weekend!

so i feel like i should explain what the deal will be with my flickr from now on. since i've realized that blogging just isn't my thing (for reals, i can't quit flickr), i've decided that the photos i wouldn't normally upload to flickr but would include in a blog post, will also be uploaded to flickr. it doesn't really give my stream the "random" look i'd like it to have, but i like the way a photo, or a series of photos, can slowly unfold a story or reveal little pieces about myself that i didn't really think about before. i like posting one photo a day along with a little blurb, because IDK IF YOU'VE NOTICED, but i also love to write. i know flickr isn't a blog, but this is just what's going to happen from now on, so remember that not every photo is a winner. the extras will be included, too.

i feel like this isn't something i should warn people about or apologize for - it's my stream and my photographs, isn't it? but i see it all the time - and i'm guilty of it too - photographer's apologizing for the images they've been posting, or their titles or descriptions (or lack thereof). why should we apologize? they're our photo streams, we do what we want. no apologies. i could rant about this for a while. i know there's more to it than that, but i'll stop here.

this is the last warning or apologetic statement i'll make on my stream: i'm sorry if it ever deviates from what you expect. today might be average, but tomorrow i could binge-upload thirty pictures of oliver. you won't see any apologies from me.

I was caught off guard here on a historic tour of London. Military planes started flying low and it hit me, it was Her Majesty’s birthday (it’s the only time this happens in London). They do this every year to mark her day as the Queen awaits on the world’s most famous balcony at Buckingham Palace. What you can see here are the Red Arrows, the aerobatics display team of the Royal Air Force. Their stunts are unrivalled the world over and are a true privilege to witness. Hope you all like the pic 😊

Markham, Canada ~ October 27, 2013.

When I first saw this I was intrigued.

The box read: "The machine with high graphic design and good sound quality running efficiently.

"The games graphics tell you in real-time 3-D environments get ready for speed and excitement in an endless array of perspectives.

"The controllers reach new levels of accuracy and play control with the erogonomically designed controller featuring buttons.

"Plug & Play stereo AV cables are included for the highest quality pictures & stereo sound plus you can have the machine connected to your television simultaneously."

Well, that kind of brilliant salesmanship almost had me ready to hand over my $9.99 for this thing, but lo, once I turned the box over I realized this was just a Atari 5200 clone that looks like a playstation.

Katie is a missionary. When she was in Morocco someone gave her this watch and said "it's time".

The new Elsa 16'' Deluxe Feature Singing Doll has been fully deboxed. She is posed standing, holding the snowflake scepter in her right hand. She is supported by a Kaiser stand (not included). Brightly lit room. Elsa is singing. Her right arm and accessory are lit up, and so are the lights on both sides of her cape.

I've finally gotten around to deboxing the Elsa Deluxe Feature Doll. I am way more impressed with her than I thought I would be. As with the Rapunzel Feature doll, the Try Me button on Elsa makes her sing about 10 seconds of Let It Go, and the lights in her forearms and cape turn on. The ten lights on the cape alternately light up on one side then the other as she sings. Once the Try Me button is detached from the front window, we can slide the doll out from the bottom of the box. The Try Me button is attached to her back, along with the lights on her cape. After the Try Me button is unplugged from her back, Elsa's sound and lights are triggered by sliding her ice swirl accessory a little way along her right hand. It is a bit hard to do the first time you try it, as the fit is very snug on her hand, and you have to push the bottom of the accessory very hard to get it to switch on her special effects. She sings about 30 seconds of Let It Go, the same segment as the older 16 inch singing Elsa doll. The singing is very clear, and just the right volume. I haven't compared the old doll with the new yet, as I need to replace the batteries on the old doll. The most outstanding feature of the doll is her cape, which has a glittery pattern of snowflakes and icicles completely covers the cape, and is even more detailed than the Classic Elsa's cape. It is slightly longer than floor length, so can hold its position. It is fully lined, to enclose the lights inside the cape. The other awesome feature of the doll are her semi transparent blue ice heels, which also have some glitter embedded.
