It communicates with a global search-and-rescue satellite system, and transmits a GPS latitude/longitude.

Outdoor Garden Water Feature Fountain - Features / Fountains

Garden fountains are beautiful outdoor water accents. Outdoor fountains are used in public parks, gardens, yards, patios and decks. The most traditional design is a tiered waterfall with multiple levels where the water cascades down many levels of stone. A garden fountain is very dramatic and has a high degree of water noise and motion due to the water becoming airborne and crashing into the lower level pool below. The water finds it's way into the pool at the bottom and is taken back to the top again by a powerful water pump to begin it's journey anew. Some famous artists and sculptors have created garden water features which add life and elegance to their sculptures. Today craftsmen and increased knowledge have made available garden fountains for private residences.

Luang Prabang (ຫລວງພະບາງ in Laotian or Louang Phabang), commonly transliterated into Western languages from the pre-1975 Lao spelling ຫຼວງພຣະບາງ literally meaning "Royal Buddha Image," is a city in north central Laos, consisting of 58 adjacent villages, of which 33 comprise the UNESCO Town Of Luang Prabang World Heritage Site. It was listed in 1995 for unique and "remarkably" well preserved architectural, religious and cultural heritage, a blend of the rural and urban developments over several centuries, including the French colonial influences during the 19th and 20th centuries.

The center of the city consists of four main roads and is located on a peninsula at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers. Luang Prabang is well known for its numerous Buddhist temples and monasteries. Every morning, hundreds of monks from the various monasteries walk through the streets collecting alms. One of the city's major landmarks is Mount Phou Si, a large steep hill which despite the constrained scale of the city, is 150 meters (490 feet) high, a steep staircase leads to Wat Chom Si shrine and an overlook of the city and the rivers.

The city was formerly the capital of a kingdom of the same name. It had also been known by the ancient name of Chiang Thong. It was the royal capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Laos, until the Pathet Lao takeover in 1975. The city is part of Luang Prabang District of Luang Prabang Province and is the capital and administrative center of the province. It lies approximately 300 kilometers (190 miles) north of the capital Vientiane. Currently, the population of the city as a whole is roughly 56,000 inhabitants with the UNESCO protected site being inhabited by around 24,000.

A visit to the National Trust property that is Bodnant Garden. The house is not open to the public.

Bodnant Garden (Welsh: Gardd Bodnant) is a National Trust property near Tal-y-Cafn, in the county borough of Conwy, Wales, situated overlooking the Conwy Valley towards the Carneddau range of mountains. Founded in 1874 and developed by five generations of one family, it was gifted to the care of the National Trust in 1949. The garden spans 80 acres of hillside and includes formal Italianate Terraces, informal shrub borders stocked with plants from around the world, and The Dell, a gorge garden, a number of notable trees and a waterfall. Since 2012 new areas to open have included the Winter Garden, Old Park Meadow, Yew Dell and The Far End, a riverside garden. Furnace Wood and Meadow was recently opened in April 2017. There are plans to open more new areas, including Heather Hill and Cae Poeth Meadow in the future. Bodnant Garden is visited by around 190,000 people every year and is famous for its Laburnum arch, the longest in the UK, which flowers in May and June. The garden is also celebrated for its link to the plant hunters of the early 1900s whose expeditions formed the base of the garden's four National Collections of plants – Magnolia, Embothrium, Eucryphia and Rhododendron forrestii.

The former name of "Bodnant Gardens" (Welsh: Gerddi Bodnant) is still in fairly common usage.

Indoor Waterfall Water Feature Fountain - Features / Waterfalls / Fountains

Indoor waterfalls dramatically improve ambiance by bringing the sights and sounds of a modern waterfall into your home or office. The sound of indoor fountains are associated with beautiful nature settings, peaceful vacations and meditative tranquility. An indoor waterfall can provide many health benefits as well. The flow of water captures airborne particles and dust from the air. The slow evaporation of water releases beneficial negative ions into the air and acts as a natural humidifier. For more sensitive environments or healthcare settings we offer a line of indoor fountains incorporating specialized precautions against bacteria and microorganisms. These options include Saniguard coatings, ultraviolet light sterilization systems and reverse osmosis systems.

A visit to the Curious Contraptions exhibit at the Exploratorium, featuring 20 charming and often hilarious mechanical sculptures known as automata. Their whimsical characters are brought to life by intricate arrangements of cams, cranks, and other simple mechanisms.

Each sculpture performs an absurd miniature drama that often reflects its maker’s dark and very British sense of humor. Exposed inner workings encourage visitors to investigate the low-tech mechanisms used to make these automata move. Additional exhibits offer a closer look at the most common simple mechanisms.

Most of the automata on display are on loan from Cabaret Mechanical Theatre, British advocates of this peculiar art form for more than 30 years. Featured artists include Paul Spooner, Keith Newstead, Carlos Zapata, Peter Markey, Patrick Bond, Lucy Casson, Michael Fong, Ron Fuller, Arthur Ganson, Mark Galt, Kazuaki Harada, Paul Long, Bernie Lubell, Matt Smith, and Norman Tuck. The exhibition also features sketches from the notebooks of leading automata artist Paul Spooner.

A dozen of us at Pataphysical Studios went on this expedition on a bright Saturday morning, on January 28, 2017. Participants included Drs. Canard, DNA, Fabio, Figurine, Heatshrink, Igor, Mind Toast, Rub, Donald, along with friends and family. As we ramp up character development for our Robot World and Time Machine projects, we can learn a thing or two from these ingenious creations and the brilliant artists behind them.

If you are into journaling, but not necessarily Moleskines, you need to check out Notebookism. I was asked for a bio/caption and some art when he found my Guan Yin piece and asked to use it. Needless to say I am thrilled. hehe

Notebookism is accepting submissions and is a great venue for journal artists who may or may not use Moleskines.

With all the added exposure I am getting into high gear! Look for my new MONSTERS! coloring book and updates to both Odonatia and the Renmeleon blog. Now I just need a laptop!!! LOL :::adds to wishlist:::

Thank you A! :) :::happy dance:::

If you are looking for Moleskines and (gorgeous) handmade journals, drop me a note as I have a unique source.
