Located in front of the Charging Bull in the Financial District. Installed in 2017 as what was supposed to be a temporary ad to show gender diversity but successive petitions have succeeded to keep her in place.
As one would expect, this is a very popular tourist attraction so I had to be in place very early to get the shot before she became overrun with camera phones and selfie sticks! This required a high ISO to capture the available light as it was a hand-held shot.
The composition is focussed on the girl but I kept enough of the bull visible to comprehend what it is, which should imply meaning to the girl's stance.

Fearless is not the absence of fear. It is not being completely unafraid.
Having fears is fearless. Fearless is having doubts. Fearless is fighting for what you believe in. Taking risks is fearless. Allowing yourself to cry and open up is fearless. Fearless is loving someone despite what people think. Fearless is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you cannot breathe without them. Letting go is fearless. It is fearless to have faith that someday things will change. Fearless is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before. It is fearless when no matter what love throws at you, you keep believing in it. Love is fearless.

These fish fear no one. Just after I took this picture, half the football team ran across the bridge, and they didn't seem to care. The urge to drop a line in the water was palpable. Curse the 'No Fishing' sign! They live in the pond near the chapel at Ithaca College.

No tame garden bird this one, out in the wilds on the banks of the River Otter, totally unafraid of me and Snaps.

Steam Tug Fearless was the last Ocean going Steam tug in Australia. in 1972 it was sailed by a volunteer crew from Brisbane to Adelaide for preservation. It is located in Birkenhead near Port Adelaide and is out of the water.
