For many people, they are so scared of cockroaches, clowns, ghosts, height, and more. For me, I am scared of being alone.
Being someone that nobody cares or loved is probably the worst thing one can get. So what is your biggest fear?

I believe there comes a time in ones life in which they must no longer fear being naked and exposed to the world.
Not physically, internally.
To bear ones soul and beauty marks. To no longer fear the rejection or obsess over the acceptance of others.
To bear yourself, which expresses who you really are.
And when the judgements come and the rocks are thrown, you cannot run from them. Because they will always come when you are living on the edge of the cliff.
Its okay to be there, because if you stand too far from it, you will never know the immense glory of the sea winds that blow up your body, through your tangled hair, past your shoulders and over you, through you, to cleanse you of all your comfortable fears that you so strongly held close to your heart.
You have to stand firm there.
You have to know that you will not fall, but there will always be a possibility.
You have to breath that ancient wind and know that only those who stand on that edge will ever breath it fresh, anew.
Its the embodiment of all who have cast their fears aside and given up comfortable circumstance for truth and life.
You know you are in the wrong place, at the right time, and you need to run to that cliff, to that edge of it, you need to shed your skin, you need to let down your hair, tear off your clothes, you need to breath the air that has traveled around this earth for thousands of years, you need to let it all go, and you need to start over.
I need to start over.

Fear is the cheapest room in the house-- I would like to see you living in better conditions. -- Hafiz
Dear Fear, Hafiz is right, so I'm moving out. Don't try to find me. Jolie

I took this photos in the studio also. I used the same original photo of Alec, but a different photo of the ghostly figure this time a full body version. I ended up using the photo of the ghost with the hand coming out thinking that it may create a more fearful affect. I ended up adding one of the energy balls to create a poison apple which is kind of the fairytale symbol for faith.
This photo utilizes multiple styles of surrealistic editing. The levitation, energy ball and duplication all help to lend to the fearful quality and human emotion of this photo.
The shiny metal snake-like monster was swerving on top of the sink. Sometimes it will give out a monotonous warning drone, sometimes an intimidating hiss, or sometimes dance to a constant tapping beat (pitter patter).
Is it alive?! I am very intrigued but terrified at the same time!
PS:
#376.
The thing about expression is you don’t need props to express the emotion. A slight change in an expression can reflect the mood you want to bring forth. In Indian dance we call it the navarasa’s or nine different emotions. It is the eyes that showcase these emotions. And that’s what I’m trying to show.
Fear -
This is the second of a series.
This would definetly have to be my best shot of 2007 - it is also my most favourited image and with the most number of comments ;)
ps : also the most stolen
Model: Bristal Upchurch
Shot in Hillsville, Virginia
I shot this as a female companion piece to my other male "In The Offing" photograph. Wanting to convey the fears we have of the unknown, of something ominous that is coming and is on it's way. Accepting that unknown and accepting your fear. Fear is sometimes a catalyst in transformation and while getting over one fear you often find another. The wind always changes direction. What's your biggest fear or phobia? Feel free to share yours in the comments.

The spikes pointing inward suggest that this was not only used to bind prisoners, but to torture them as well.
"Can anyone be a man of knowledge?"
"No, not anyone."
"Then what must a man do to become a man of knowledge?"
"He must challenge and defeat his four natural enemies."
"Will he be a man of knowledge after defeating these four enemies?"
"Yes. A man can call himself a man of knowledge only if he is capable of defeating all four of them."
"Then, can anybody who defeats these enemies be a man of knowledge?"
"Anybody who defeats them becomes a man of knowledge"
"But are there any special requirements a man must fulfill before fighting with these enemies?"
"No. Anyone can try to become a man of knowledge; very few men actually succeed, but that is only natural. The enemies a man encounters on the path of learning to become a man of knowledge are truly formidable; most men succumb to them.
When a man starts to learn, he is never clear about his objectives. His purpose is faulty; his intent is vague. He hopes for rewards that will never materialize, for he knows nothing of the hardships of learning."
"He slowly begins to learn - bit by bit at first, then in big chunks. And his thoughts soon clash. What he learns is never what he pictured, or imagined, and so he begins to be afraid. Learning is never what one expects.
Every step of learning is a new task, and the fear the man is experiencing begins to mount mercilessly, unyieldingly. His purpose becomes a battlefield."
"And thus he has tumbled upon the first of his natural enemies: Fear!
A terrible enemy - treacherous, and difficult to overcome. It remains concealed at every turn of the way, prowling, waiting. And if the man, terrified in its presence, runs away, his enemy will have put an end to his quest."
"What will happen to the man if he runs away in fear?"
"Nothing happens to him except that he will never learn. He will never become a man of knowledge. "

While we fear the Armageddon, and the nordics deeply fear the Ragnarök, what Eggbert and every other egg really fear during the Christmas season is the Eggnarök!
Or in other words... the tragical death by Eggnog!
Because, as all eggs knows... an Eggnog serving just good enough to fill a regular Punch Bowl need 6 beaten eggs. (oh, the cruelty!)
Therefore, Christmas causes alot of extra stress in eggs. (And I bet you thought that your life was stressful, eh?) =P
But now that is almost over and Eggbert is feeling a little bit more safe... he asked me to drop by and wish you all an incredible Christmas! Filled with laughs, silliness, happiness, amazing food and good company! (but NO Eggnog, please!)

this is the death-defying, puke inducing, Skydeck at Sears Tower (Willis Tower)...103 floors up the building, someone brilliantly came up with this idea of building a glass bump-out on the the side of the building 103 floors up with glass floors and glass walls....pretty fun to see other people trying to make up their minds if they would take the step and conquer the Skydeck....took me about 10minutes before i finally just looked straight out and stepped onto the glass box...i made the mistake of looking down and my Portillo's Hotdog lunch almost came back up....this kid came along and nonchalantly walked out and seemed to be playing with the clamps holding the glass together....i had to take the shot right away....and what fears do you guys have????
