The Citrus Heights Fire District (Sacramento County, California) used to run this classic 1977 Ward LaFrance 1500 GPM/500 gal. pumper from Station 24 (originally Station 4) in Foothill Farms (now Sacramento Metro Fire Station 24).
Within a year or two of this photo, it got a repaint—including a white roof—and a light bar. It was retired in the early 1990s, a couple of years after the 1989 Sacramento County Fire merger, having spent its entire frontline career as Engine 4/24.
