This was an experiment with a vintage Canon FD 17mm lens connected to my DSLR. The adaptor moves the focal plane and reduces the ability to focus on infinity. With most FD lenses on digital this is fine and just means you get a close up or macro lens.
But when you do this with a lens that is as wide as 17mm then you have no focal plane at all! This leaf is actually pressed against the front element of the lens with the lens focussed on infinity! So this is the best focus you can get with the object actually touching the lens! Never tried this before.
I saw this Fashionably Dead outfit while in the store looking at the April 30th Saturday Sale when I noticed that this outfit was the same price. I later came across the commuter rail car in the Orchid Island sim, and the idea popped into my head. Having been able to visit home as travel restrictions have eased, I took a pic at the spur of the moment. It about sums up how I felt about going home.

Another attempt with this old manual lens. There are some C/A tracks on contours, but the total result is good. (Small white points are by light rain drops, not lens fault)

Dream bokeh, right? Canon's FD 1.4/50mm, poor man's Summilux , conjures up an image effect that can only be beaten by the 55mm asphere one, which is 30 times more expensive.

Another shot from my recent visit to the Maine Wildlife Park. This animal moved around quite a bit while I was observing it. I felt very fortunate to get a shot of it standing still, in the sun, and looking right at me! For the most part, the animals are not at all interested in their human observers.

ein Western Firecraft Helm, der Anfang der 1980er Jahre bei den US-Army-Feuerwehren in Bayern genutzt wurde. Ein beliebter Helm neben dem Cairns 660 Metro. Damals typisch ein Plexiglasvisier und ein NOMEX-Nackenschutz. Das Helmmodell wurde insbesondere in Kalifornien bei vielen großen Feuerwehren über Jahrzehnte genutzt.
