This was around 1:30 in the morning. You can hear us trying not to laugh and me saying, "She's such a little goblin," as Beebs makes her funny little excited pug sounds ♥

Lightning pounce. Typical play hour. I was saying to my husband, "He's all hyper now," because he'd just been caught sneaking up on top of the Forbidden Bookshelf. It seems to make him happy whenever he gets caught.

To see today's sneaky exploration of the forbidden bookshelf, go here.

Beebs asleep on the couch. Reminds me of the first photo I ever took of her. Except without all the stains on her fur. When we met her she had goo all over her face and paws. Took me four months of daily effort to get the stains out of her fur.

Bebe's hasty retreat after I took the sneakers off her front paws. At least the sneakers on her hind feet don't give her any problems. I wish I could say the same about the sneakers on her front paws.

Every time I look at this photo I think she needs pants or something. She's wearing a parka, panties and sneakers. No pants. Reminds me of the ending in Bridget Jones's Diary where she runs outside in a sweater, panties and sneakers. No pants.

More details about the pug sneaker odyssey here.

Panty nibbling addiction. He may need an intervention. Lightning spends a lot of time trying to eat Bebe's panties. This pair has a little skirt attached.

This is what I saw when I woke up this morning. Notice her panties are missing? Yeah, she peed in them, wiggled out of them and moved to the other side of her bed. She then wet the bed. But so looks so adorable when she does it ♥

As many of you know, we adopted our pug from Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue. Please vote everyday from every computer you can so that MAPR can win money to help other pugs!

Check out her tail! She went for a walk around the neighborhood in her tutu. She's so fast that I have trouble getting pics of her in motion.

Poised and ready for action :) The fact that she's wagging her tail is amazing. The diminished mobility in her hind legs extends to her tail, so when she wags her tail these days it means she's especially happy!

All her rolls make her look like a slinky on wheels here :D

Three Bebes are better than one ♥ This is my third attempt at cloning. First time cloning someone other than myself.

Bebe's bed has hard sides, four pillows (bed pillows for people) two blankets and an open doorway so she can enter and exit. I was baking a cake and angled Bebe's bed towards the kitchen so she could keep an eye on me. And the cake. Mostly the cake. She fell asleep with her face resting on the edge of her bed, but it slid off the edge and down the doorway. Her arm is reaching out through the doorway and resting on the floor, poised for action, so she is ready to slide into the kitchen when cake is offered.

And yes, she got cake.

The first dog design I ever did years ago was a pug. I was never quite happy with that design, so this year when I decided to work on other animals again..a fawn pug was the first thing I wanted to paint-or..repaint lol.

Awww. I tried letting her rest her chin on something the way she prefers, but it didn't work out because her nose was still so stuffed up that she had to breathe through her mouth and couldn't get to sleep.

Our friends beautiful Pug Olivia.

Beebs caught yawning.

Wings, harnesses, wheelchairs, carts, strollers, they all mean nothing to her. She has plans of her own. She plans on being carried in our arms, everywhere, for the rest of her life. I have a feeling that whatever we buy for her will be a distant second to being carried.

These are my actual, real wings from a costume. I cut/pasted them onto a pic of Beebs, and changed the shape, size and color slightly.

Beebs wearing her new rainbow peace panties, stretched out on fake fur. Beebs also has unicorn panties. How could I let my pug go through life without having her very own unicorn panties?

I made the peace sign panties so I could joke with myself about a peace of pug ass the way I joke about a peace of my own ass after sewing a peace sign onto the butt of my pants.

"...Deck the halls

I'm young again..."

Don't ask me why she was laying like this. I don't know. The little nudist occasionally manages to shimmy out of her panties, which was why she wasn't wearing them here. That still doesn't explain her position. She was very, very relaxed. I mean, lettin' it all hang out. I took video just in case you people don't believe me.

"How could you stop petting me and go back to sleep?"

My living room. It needs work. We finally have paint on the walls on curtains on the windows. The curtains need to be hemmed, but at least they are up and the ugly blinds are down. But there is much to be done.

Lightning getting a belly rub, until Bebe butted in. That's her noisy breathing in the background.

I tried to tell her that her position was a little obscene but she didn't care. She just wanted me to shut up and rub her chest. She reminds me of a toad in this :)

Side view. Look at her curly little tail! And her furry neck rolls! Beebs is very busy and she has no interest in slowing down for my camera.

When chinchillas attack!

Our two pugs...though now the black pug, Zoe, is much larger than our fawn pug, Peanut! :)

"...who's the fairest bitch of them all?"

I've created a monster. She would not let me take a self-portrait today. I had to hold a heavy mirror for my sp, I was afraid I'd drop it on her, so I placed her and her silky soft dog bed in the (empty) bathtub while I attempted to take today's self-portrait. She wasn't havin' it. She could see me on the floor with the camera and she wanted her picture taken. It's all my fault. After two months, she's figured out that she enjoys modeling.

So, after much whining, I let her out and she made a beeline for the mirror. She stared adoringly at her reflection for the longest time. Then she curled up on my backdrop and did a victory roll.

Hats for Haiti is a group. Put on a hat and take a picture. Or put a hat on a friend and take a picture of them. Post it to the group before Saturday, January 29th and money will be donated to Haiti! There's a three photo maximum, the pics have to be taken specifically for this group and you must be wearing a hat, not a hood. So get clicking for a worthy cause!

Beebs elevates sleep to an art form. No one does it better :)

She is Tyler's girlfriend.

Turn up the volume, please :) Bebe likes her panties so much that she was giggling while she fell asleep in them.

Bebe manages to mind her manners in this one.

Cream cheese frosting! My husband got one beater, Beebs got the other. You can't really tell here but the frosting is lavender. I have a bunch of rainbow cake pics from a while back that I haven't posted yet. Beebs ate a rainbow cupcake and the next day the color of her poo scared me. At first I thought she was injured, then I remembered the colorful cupcake.

I'd given her a bath and wrapped her in my hoodie so she wouldn't get cold. She has her own hairdryer, actually --- but it would've made her overheated this time of year. We use it in the cold months.

While Beebs watches Midnight with concern, Lightning sneaks up behind her. The opportunistic panty fetishist strikes again.

Our first challenge in 52 Weeks for Dogs for 2010 is "places where dogs shouldn't be." Well, for Spanky, the list is long. Yeah, he's visited the cat's litter box more than once (and unfortunately decided that cat litter was a yummy treat so we've gated off the basement now). But this is one he'd never tried. He actually sort of liked it in the dryer. It was warm and cozy and if I'd thrown in a few blankets, I'm sure he would have liked to stay.

I took several Halloween poses of Spanky, but this is my favorite because of the look on his face really did look like he was begging for a treat. I also like his rolls around his neck spilling over his costume. Last year he was a little devil.

On the 12th, it will be a year since we adopted Beebs. She gets cuter everyday.

Unfortunately, I just received an email from Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue stating that they can't rescue pugs anymore because they have over $200,000 in unpaid vet bills. They've taken in over 300 pugs since January, but very few people are adopting or donating. It's sickening to think of what would happen to a pug like Beebs if MAPR didn't exist. Right now, all they can rescue are pugs from high kill shelters.

It's like more people are kicking their pets to the curb and less people are contributing to charity. It pisses me off. I know the economy has been shitty, but we haven't let it stop us from adopting Beebs and donating to MAPR. If we can do it, then so can damn near anyone else.

If you want to donate you can do so here.

If you do any online shopping, you can use www.igive.com to help Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue (based in Holly Springs , North Carolina) every time you make a purchase through one of the merchants on their merchant list. It's easy and doesn't cost anything.

Links to MAPR merchandise can be found here.

If you live in Eastern Tennessee up through Maryland you can apply to adopt or foster a pug. You can also volunteer in other ways.

Most of the pugs who remain homeless are the elderly ones and the ones with health problems. Pugs like Beebs --- who is the sweetest, cutest dog I've ever seen. It's a shame that a dog like Beebs could go unloved because the one rescue that could take her in no longer can. All because of some vet bills.

This is a new leash holder line I recently started incorporating a basic, "snoopy-like" mosaic dog house with a Pug's over-sized head popping out. The mosaics are done with red, gold and black stained glass and red mirror. I gave him a styling green collar that also has a pewter dog tag saying "love much, laugh often". His whiskers are made of black wire and are curled and the ends. There are two holes on each side of the dog house for easy hanging and the back is covered with felt to help prevent scratches on your wall. There is one nickle plated knob at the bottom of the doghouse that is screwed in for a sturdy hold of leashes, coats or hats. For no additional cost I will include a bone name tag and personalize your new leash holder with up to six letters or characters.

As with all my creations, this is a handmade, one-of-a-kind leash holder that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, mosaics pieces are individually hand-cut, meticulously arranged, and the glazes are applied with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.

Actually she'd just sneezed.

Beebs and Lightning are in the September issue of Ladies' Home Journal, page 92. I was contacted several months ago and agreed to let them use some photos and interview me as long as they mentioned that Beebs was a rescue. I didn't think anything would come of it until a fact checker called me. At that time I was informed they'd be in the September issue. And they are! It's the one with Michelle Obama on the cover :D
