Just kidding

It’s the late, great Ellie, of course!

My sweet sis, Lillie Belle.

Yes, it’s Lillie. What you don’t know is that we call her Lillie Belle Long Tail. So she’s Lillie BLT.

I wanted to remove that white speck from her nose, but she'd have been so annoyed that she'd walk away and shut down our photo session.

A moment from Lillie’s visit with us

Guess who is 11? I'll give you a hint. This silly girl turns everything into a game. She is also very loving and sweet, constantly giving kisses. We adore you, Bit-Bit!

Our Ellie Girl is gone. It’s been a week since she passed, and I still feel feel broken and lost. It happened while we slept, we think she suffered, and didn't get to tell her goodbye.

I keep feeling like I failed her.

Missing this precious girl so much.

She’s staying with us this week. She isn’t a fan of costumes, but humored me. Can’t tell if that smile is her getting in on the fun or plotting her revenge.

Bit would say hi, but she's clearly pouting about something.

We are keeping her for a couple of days. She and Tyler are buddies, though in his old age, he's like "when are her folks picking her up?" She's 10 and still very perky and energetic.

I'd love to be as chipper as she is. ♥

A fawn pug looking cute as can be.

You know you love me! XOXO

Ellie Girl

Gary and his Lillie Belle

It was our first and only Christmas with this sweet Ellie Girl.

She's been keeping my mom's feet warm.

My sweet, precious sister who we just learned will be staying a few extra days with us. ♥ She is 13 and 1/2 and her breathing isn't good, she coughs anytime she's not lying down. In the evenings, we've noticed some behaviors that our Tyler used to exhibit when his dementia was becoming apparent. In the daytime, she is happy, her "wiggy tail" is at full attention. Her eating is generally good. It's only the nights where she looks lost, wanders into a dark room and can't find her way out, or she doesn't know to move out of the way when a door is opened. She sleeps okay, as long as she gets her cough med. Poor baby girl. She used to be the wild and carefree pug, Miss Happy-Go-Lucky. She still has that spirit mostly, even if a bit slowed down. I love and adore this girl. She and I were raised by the same mom, loved the same mom and lost the same mom. I feel so grateful she is here and blessed to have this extra time with her.

This is a week prior to Mom's last day at home.

She has Gary, but she misses her mama.

Ellie wishes everyone a happy weekend.

Six months ago, on Thanksgiving, you came into our lives. If you had been able to stay longer, we would be celebrating your 6-month Gotcha Day by giving you extra goodies and a special cake.

Here’s to six months of loving you, Ellie Girl.

I love and miss you.

Found this pic of Lillie from last summer.

Wondering what the day will bring.

Mom's pug (aka my sister)

Hey Upper East Siders:

Is quitting cold turkey overrated?

That's a secret I'll never tell!

XOXO, Ellie Girl

She’s a 13 year old rescue and we got her yesterday. Hope you all had a Healthy and Happy Thanksgiving!

This was not the shot I was going for this week, but it was too hysterical to pass up. My plan was to get a shot of Spanky with his paws on the keys. I did get a few, but nothing too special. By the end of the session Spanky was tiring and knew that I had treats in my pocket, and thus refused to jump for ones on the piano. I managed to capture his yawn, but with his reflection in the piano it looks like a look of shock, or like he's trying to hit a high note. View Large On Black
