Lost in the depths of her thoughts, happy memories light up her face marked by time that has passed a little too quickly.
One of the most fascinating birds I've scene in my trip to Malaysia, the Heron, (even the name makes it more glorious, LOL).
And there is a story behind these series of photos (5 photos in the comment box), I noticed him from a distance, approached very slowly, wondering why he was sitting firmly and quietly like that on that huge lotus leaf, found that he had some intentions for those big Kois in the pond, LOL!... he looked at me few times but didn't care about my presence at all, so I got closer, for my surprise I saw that he wasn't only trying to catch fish, behind that determination and patience there was a trick, that clever tricky heron was actually literally fishing!... with a bait!... he put small pieces of bread (or something like it) very slowly in the water, and just sit there patiently waiting for the fish to come and eat the bread, while he "fire" his beak with his big long neck like coming from no where!... well, I think it's my fault that eventually his prey was only that tiny fish, he got distracted, hehe :D
I couldn't take a photo of the "firing the neck" because he was really very very fast!

Researchers in the U.S. and Germany believe foxes have an innate augmented reality system allowing them to use Earths magnetic field to track down their prey. They are apparently the only animal to use this field. This is most effective when they are facing north. When facing north they are successful 75% of the time.
This is an image taken of the windswept trees that grace the skyline at Fascinating Hill Penllegaer on the outskirts of Swansea. The trees have been there for many years and because of their position on the skyline they can be seen for miles around.

First in a series of images taken during the 2024 'Ladies Day' at Ballinrobe Racecourse, Co. Mayo, Ireland... This swirling bit of ornamentation both introduces and summarises the bold, sometimes outrageous wardrobes one sees at these events. Enjoy.

Painted Bunting ~ (Passerina ciris)
The contrast between the showy colors of the male Painted Bunting and the shyness of its personality is a fascinating disparity to me. They like to stay low in the underbrush feeding on seeds and are wary of people, but are also so striking visually.
Thanks for visiting!

I went out in the forrest, following a little creek, where I used to fish (Brown trout) when I was young. It was a lot of mosquitos there, but it is an fascinating landscape.

The Swiss National Holiday is celebrated on August first. The Peninsula Swiss Club organized a family event in a local park in Los Altos, California. After dark we had a procession with lanterns. Boys were fascinated with the flame of a candle.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, selectively desaturated the image, added some sepia, and carefully adjusted the curves.

I fell in love with this view in Yasothon, Thailand.
Lines, light decay and color were almost hypnotic.
The Piramidi are fascinating stone sculpures, build from erosion which eats away the ground under some big stones.
The first monastery there was founded in AD 657 by King of Northumbria. It is a really beautiful and fascinating place.
Egret at Stanpit Marsh Christchurch Dorset. I think his feathers on his head looks rather like a fascinator.
This fascinating lake is located in Italy near the border with Slovenia, it is less famous than the Fusine lakes but I find it more atmospheric especially with gloomy weather conditions.

Bryce Canyon National Park is located in southwestern Utah in the United States. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon is a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks.

An Indian Thick-knee (Burhinus indicus) was framed in flight over a wetland with its full down-stroke wing position. The focus was perfectly locked on the eye of the beautiful bird and the shallow depth of field made it look fascinating in flight. The bokeh here is very special and best complementing with the bird. I was extremely pleased to have it in such ambience. Pics was taken near Testa river barrage in New Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
A fascinating view on Miramare Castle and its park which were commissioned by Ferdinand Maximilian (1832–1867), of the House of Habsburg - younger brother of Franz Joseph, Emperor of Austria. In 1850, at the age of eighteen, Maximilian came to Trieste with his brother Charles and, immediately afterwards, he set off on a short cruise toward the Near East. This journey confirmed his intention to sail and to get to know the world. In 1852 he was appointed an officer and in 1854 he became Commander in Chief of the Imperial Navy. He decided to move to Trieste and to have a home built facing the sea and surrounded by a park worthy of his name and rank. At the background is the Gulf of Trieste.
It has this fascinating color because it is fed by several glaciers. The largest glacier in South America, the Upsala Glacier and Perito Moreno Glacier.

@Lito Leafart Exhibition
The other day, I visited the exhibition, the Japansese Leaf artist, he carves tree leaves to create magnificent scenes...I introduce to you through flickr ..thanks for seeing. He is amazing :-)
