In sun-dappled, wind-swept Bristol, a brand new furry convention debuted and I had the privilege of attending as its first Guest of Honor. Not something I take lightly, so perhaps Guest of Labour would have been a more appropriate title.
Just Fur the Weekend, which I insisted on calling JeftyDubs and has become simply Jefty, was something special. Intimate and exciting, wild and relaxed, the energy was infectious and addictive.
I made so many new friends, people from all walks of life who all inspire me to be better than I am. The hotel staff got into the spirit of things more than I’ve seen at any other con, and a few of them may become One Of Us before too soon.

If you're so inclined, you can pay money at the Bandai Museum in Matsudo, Tokyo, to dress up like some from Gundam and pose in front of this life-size (if the animation were real, that is) torso of a robot.

Fandom is a huge motivation for creative audiences especially online where fans of a media product oftern talk and contribute to a websites. There are harry potter websites where people enrol into Hogwarts (the fictional wizard school) and role-play there existence there. This shows how more content can be created by fans for a piece of media.

Thousands came out to Pima Community College Downtown on Saturday, July 13 for this annual, all ages event. Festivities included cosplay, authors and artists, escape rooms, a photo booth, video, tabletop and giant games, and snacks.
