An updated version of my TX-225 GAVw "Occupier" combat assault tank out of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
With more builders making their own rendition of that vehicle I felt like it wasn't really up-to-date anymore. So I decited to update my older MOC from early 2019.
As that earlier version as well as the new one is still based on Sydag's TX-225 in terms of size and especially the front panel detailling, I still see the need of crediting him for his amazing work without which, mine wouldn't have been possible!
The most recognisable difference most likey is the changed colour sceme. While my old build already featured weathering this new one has much more of it and also improves on it. Also I got rid of the sand blue which back then I felt was a nice touch.
Other changes I made are:
- moving treads
- more accurate shape
- increased stability
- indicated interior
- more details

If the asymmetric placement of those switches causes you distress, feel free to look away. I've tried to push them into the background by not chasing the depth of field. Despite that, they're still there, and I can't unsee them.
There's a long term interest in railways in my family going back to around the 1840s. Mostly it was payday! Never, to my knowledge, has it taken over to the exclusion of all else. Sure, I was on the inaugural run of the rebuilt locomotive 6029. There, I became alarmed at overheard conversations between complete and utter railway tragics.
I have been acquainted with Railway Historical Society volunteers. Interestingly, each and every one of them was able to peel off their overalls to reveal an otherwise normal human underneath. Never, until that day behind 6029, had I been exposed to the full immersion minutiae of railway fandom. I think what really alarmed me was the conversation between two twenty-somethings about which version of coal trucks, and their code numbers, that they had catalogued, and what colliery they'd come from.
Gosh, I forgot to write down the number of the carriage I was on with this fan. Do I feel myself a failure? No, not at this, anyway. Instead, I'm intrigued about how complete the amenities were in this old carriage, and what a lovely job of restoration has been done, right down to this fan.
