This is an image of beautiful Cedar Run Falls at Shenandoah National Park. Nice hike and a nicer view.

Due to drought conditions, water is not always present at the falls. We were lucky to see a trickle coming over the cliff high above. Still pretty awesome and the area is beautiful. There are signs galore warning of potential landslides and danger, but visitors (such as myself) ventured close anyway.

Opened up the aperture here a little to get the shutter speed down to 1/5 second, given all the flow I was interesting in seeing how the falls looked at this slightly faster shutter speed.

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway.

The Falls of Falloch (Eas Falloch in Scottish Gaelic; meaning the Hidden Falls) is a waterfall and picnic area, north of Loch Lomond.

Located just of the A82, 3 miles south of Crianlarich.

When you park in the car park, it's only a short 5 minute walk to the falls. You can view the falls from the riverbank, or a specially designed cage.

The Falls are part of the River Falloch which ultimately run into Loch Lomond.

The pool at the bottom of the falls is called Rob Roy's bathtub - I tried to find out why, but couldn't find the reason. I did find out it was popular with wild swimmers.

Between Whistler and Pemberton is Nairn Falls in Nairn Falls Provincial Park. A 1.5 km hike from the parking area takes you to the viewing platform. Very busy during the day but later in the evening it wasn't so hectic. This is one of a number of waterfalls along the Green River that runs from Whistler to Lillooet Lake. The water was running at an incredible rate and it was well worth stopping for.

A raging falls in the spring with the snow melts and rain falls but by October when the the water has slowed down it almost looks to be a trickle. A beautiful area, arrived late morning so the sun was strong- therefore no long silky flow was doable.

Located Gooseberry State Park near Two Harbors Minn.

Autumn colours at the Falls of Dochart, Killin.

Area just below the falls along the Potomac River. Pretty reflections there when low river flow.

This is an old photo from the cataract falls trip.

When in Banff one should enjoy the easily accessible Bow Falls. Located below the Banff Springs Hotel. While it doesn't drop far (30 ft) it does it over a long rumbling length. See below for more of the flow.

And as the heat rises, night falls on this steamy, last evening in August. At the edge of Paradise Pond.

It was a rainy day meaning the falls would be flowing. They were. I was quite wet and so was my camera, but worth the conditions for a shot like this.

I might add that I have a new neutral density filter with which adding to my HDR's will add even more to my shots.

This was the second stop. A bit of a walk in..... and yes quite a bit of rain. But so worth the time.

A view taken down stream below the pretty falls there in Maryland. Here the camera was pretty low to the flow :)

Boulder Falls is located 11 miles west of Boulder, on the north side of Boulder Canyon Drive (SR 119) between Boulder and Nederland.

My last shot of Brooks Falls, seems like I may have shot more here than other places but the light was extremely good during mid-morning so I took full advantage, just by the contours of the narrow deep little gorge you will have plenty to work with in post. After you have had a chance to look over the falls from the top you should make you way down to see them up close there are many trail leading down the stream to the rapids and falls choose the less direct route unless you have some mountain goat blood.

When you have had your waterfall fill you can explore the rest of the this beautiful area, Perry is the gateway township to the Almaguin Highlands and is combined with the villages of Emsdale/Novar for most practical purposes and is home to the Seguin trail one of Fall’s prettiest hikes in the region. The small hamlet of Emsdale is easily missed as it is just a little collection of families not far off of Highway 11 but it is one worth stopping for, just remember it is Brooks not Burk’s Falls and you will do fine.

I took this on Sept 19, 2021 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2 Lens at 24mm, 0.8s, f8 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Topaz ,and DXO

A focal point of Burleigh Falls from atop of the surrounding escarpment makes for a fabulous view. Truly a photographers delight to take in all around you. Though from this distance Burleigh Falls does not look so powerful but you can easily hear the roar coming towards you. What also is fascinating is that not long after the mighty roar of waves ( furthest back in this photo ) the waters quite quickly take on a much more calming flow.

Europe, The Netherlands, Zuid Holland, Rotterdam, Kruisplein, Mauritsplaats, Calypso, Calypso falls (slightly cut)

Shown here is the back façade of Calypso with "Calypso Falls" (2018) by Monique Benthin & Rick Messemaker. It is a rendering of the Seljalandsfoss in Iceland. ".....and was created by the Calypso Falls initiative group, consisting of residents of the Mauritsplaats, the Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Ondernemingsvereniging Schouwburgplein and the United Schouwburgplein Association. The project was realized with contributions from BKOR and Rotterdam Make It Happen, and carried out by Mothership." Source: Calypso-falls.

Calypso is a building complex with 407 up- market apartments, seven parking floors, offices, commercial spaces and the 'Paulus kerk'. It was designed by London architect William Alsop and Van der Laan Bouma Architekten. On the site once was a cinema with the same name.

This shot is from a place from where I haven't been posting yet ! Quebec. This is Waber Falls from the Mauricie National Park Ok, it's not Iguacu or Niagara Falls but still, this is a very scenic waterfall with a big advantage : much less tourists than the two mentionned previously haha. Here's the reason : to get there you need to row about 4km (upstream because it wouldn't be funny otherwise !!) and then hike a few kilometers. It's not hard (but trying to carry you camera stuff on a kayak and not wet it is a bit harder haha) but accessing the waterfall requires enough time and energy to screen a loooot of people ! So okay, you probably won't be alone there but it won't be crowded (especially now since most people are back to school/work). It's definitely worth it !

I would love to go back there during the autumn to shoot this scenery with orange colors. I like this picture so I decided to share it with you guys but in my opinion it could have been better with a tripod... Because yes, I forgot one of the piece of the tripod in the car so I had to build a support with rocks in the middle of the stream in order to be able to do a long exposure shot. So please be gentle with the lack of sharpness in this picture ;)

I hope you'll like it anyway ! Feel free to comment or put it in you favorites, it's always nice to have a feedback ! :)

Thanks for viewing!

Very picturesque cascading waterfall near Tauranga. This is the bottom section of the upper tier.

Kaiate Falls, also known as Te Rerekawau Falls, is a pair of impressive waterfalls with the first one being a three-tiered upper series. This is then followed by an attractive plunge of the lower waterfall, which is 15m high. When reaching the base, you’ll also find a beautiful swimming hole.

These Falls are located on HWY 60 Southeast of Charleston, WV. Out of Charleston if you stay on HWY 60 you'll enjoy a beautiful winding road that will eventually lead you to Glade Creek Grist Mill, a favorite stop for many photographers.

Thanks for stopping by

The sun popped out for several seconds on what was a misty cloudy day there at the Falls of the Hills Creek. This is the 63 foot tall Lower Falls.

The High Falls on the Pigeon River in Minnesota's Grand Portage State Park. The river flows for 31.2 miles out of the BWCAW east to Lake Superior. It forms part of the Minnesota/Canada border.

Ricketts Glen. The Poconos, Pennsylvania.

Tuscarora Falls is the second fall you reach on the Ganoga Glen Trail as you are hiking up the trails from the bottom where the waters meet. At 47 feet it is one of the taller falls, and also one of the prettier spots on the trail. I normally spend at least an hour photographing a waterfall, especially after a long hike. At Ricketts Glen we only had 6 hours for the entire hike and 22 falls, so I was limited in time at each fall. I definitely want to get back there and spend a few days hiking the trails.

Here is Latourell Falls from the Columbia Gorge, Oregon side last fall. The trail was closed going down below so Patrick Rodriquez and I shot from this opening in the trees. Any trip to the Gorge is a good trip! Thank you for your warm and kind visits my friends!

Very busy after the wedding and getting ready for next week. So looking forward to our return to Yellowstone. Will try to find the time to admire your recent photos today.

The beautiful Upper Falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park near the appropriately named town of Paradise, MI. Tahquamenon Falls has an upper and lower section, each with their own trails, amenities, and gift shops. Hiking between the two requires a round trip of 8 miles, though a long stop at the microbrewery at the Upper Falls would make that trip more doable...LOL

American Falls in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is a group of three waterfalls at the southern end of Niagara Gorge, between the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York. The largest is Horseshoe Falls, also known as Canadian Falls, which straddles the international border between Canada and the United States.

Translating an experience into an abstract!

Another view of Brasstown Falls at the 3rd set of falls. To get to this vantage point you need to leave the viewing deck and get into the stream. If the flow had been any higher, I would not have tried it. It was slippery enough as it was. Always be careful in streams and wet rocks as they can be dangerously slippery.

Thanks for viewing my photos. Comments are always welcome.

The Niludhan Falls in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental is just starting to get popular among visitors to the province. Previously hard to access because of its remote location and unpaved roads, this waterfall is now easier to reach due to the concreting of most of the Mabinay-Bayawan City road. It still took us 3 hours to get there from Dumaguete, though, via bus and motorcycle.

Cool falls and little trail with it. The trail to the base of the falls has been closed for a long time and wasn't open when we were there. More touristy then I prefer, but if it is along the road you are driving it is a good place to make a stop and stretch the legs for a moment.

Travel safe today. Be well.
