I remember this beautiful couple. They even asked me to take their picture. They have this accent, maybe eastern European. Very nice and gracious couple. They look so much in love.This was taken at the 67th floor of the GE building. I wanted to create something romantic. I blurred this picture enough to create some vague outline of them and the city. I thought it would make a nice CD cover. The title is a little bit cheesy I know. Any suggestions?

Love is NOT just another four-letter word. It’s something much more complex than that. I hate when people don’t value the true meaning of love and what it really means to be in love. Some people dare to use such powerful word like it’s worth nothing. They say “I love you” almost with the same relevance as if they were saying “I’m hungry” or “I’m sleepy.”
I could say that I even find pathetic when someone tells you overnight or after a couple of dates that he/she LOVES you. Nobody…I mean…really…NOBODY falls suddenly in love overnight. I can believe that there could be an attraction or affinity, but between initial attraction and love there is an abysmal jump.
There are tons of people like those who are daily walking on the streets misusing the word “love”. I think they believe that just because they say “I love you” the fastest they can and to anybody that crosses their path, it is magically going to become true. It’s not just about who says it the fastest. It’s about truly feeling it.
However, the ones that without any remorse say that they love someone (even if it’s not true) are not the only ones who treat love as another simple four-letter word. There are also those who after having gone thru difficult, disappointing, or stormy relationships decide to stop believing in love.
They have become so afraid of finding themselves again in a vulnerable position that they decide to hide behind the love-is-for-fools mask.
Yes, it’s true……..Love is not a piece of cake, and it’s not like a fairy tale. You’re probably going to knock on a lot of doors, and I guarantee that you’re going to close a bunch of doors at others too. You may have had a couple of not-so-great experiences before, but even those are not enough reasons to miss out on the wonderful feeling of being in love.
….that is why I still believe in LOVE ♥
This is one of my roses but it isn't doing very well so am thinking of replacing it this spring.. It has been processed in the Topaz Studio 2 in the Georgia O'Keeffe style..

Ruffy had a big surprise for Mitten today, he'd bought tickets for the Valentine ball in town. When the music started, Ruffy took Mitten by the paws, looked deep into her eyes and said "... MItten, you've reached in and put a string of lights around my heart. Will you make me the happiest Ruffy around, be my valentine?"

This posting is a meditation on the idea of making a dream come true. In his last teleseminar, Tulshi Sen reminded his students that our senses are only instruments and it is Consciousness that feels. He encouraged us all to remember to feel the Vision of our heart. First come feelings and then come the images that mould these thoughts. In his book “Ancient Secrets of Success for Today’s World”, the author says:
“Only your Ego can negate the vision of your desire and thereby prevent it from being brought into physical manifestation. According to the great Sage Patanjali, Ego is when you identify the instrument of seeing with the Seer. The Mind is the instrument and the Seer is your Consciousness, like the binoculars are the instrument and You are the Seer. Mind is not Consciousness.” – Tulshi Sen
As we fall into the embrace of 2010, may the wisdom of the ancients shower us with the courage and the grace to believe in our own Visions and rejoice alive in the great Witness to see them blossom fully !!!

I haven't been active with Flickr, at all. I'm so sorry, I've just been so busy with everything that I haven't gotten the chance to pick up my camera. I decided to upload to say hello hello hello, and to just talk.
This picture is very simple; but it means alot to me. This quote is not mine, but it symbolizes me in many ways. Love is a very powerful thing, and I believe i'm unconditionally in love with my boyfriend. And i'm enjoying every minute of it.
...and eventually my parents left this morning:now I can say it was easier to lift up again the Costa Concordia than to lift up again ME from this week end with all my uncles and aunts!!! :D

My girl, And a memory from the strange but true files. On my due date, I woke my hubby at 4:00 in the morning having contractions. I called the doc and told him all systems are go and he better get out his catcher's mitt. He laughed said you would not be able to joke around or even talk to me on the phone like this if you were really in labor. It takes a long time for the first one. I'll see you later today. A half hour later my hubby called him back and said listen, the contractions are really close together doc, 5 minutes, 3 minutes they're all over the place...CLOSE! So at 4:30 am we rushed to the hospital. My hubby drove like a madman going through red lights and flying over train crossings. When I got out of the car and took a step, my water broke in the parking lot. Finally in the hospital, the doctor gave a quick exam and said I was 10 centimeters dilated and he could already feel the head. A few minutes later at 5:07am after an hour of labor and only 15 minutes in the hospital, I had the baby you see above. Well, she was much smaller then :)
After they brought her to me I didn't know what to do, everything happened so fast and now I had this baby. Talk to her, give her some milk the nurse encouraged. I looked down at my wrinkly monkey baby and didn't feel a thing. I thought maybe there's something wrong with me, maybe I'm just not a loving person and what am I going to do now, stuck with this baby I don't even love. That whole day they kept sticking this baby in my face, which could have been some other person's baby for all I cared. I was dreading it. Then that night after being awake for 48 hours straight they brought her in yet again and placed her in my arms. She slowly turned her little head and locked eyes with me and in that moment I felt my heart split open, I could actually feel and hear something click inside me. And I fell in love with her.

I took this shot when he was only about 16 hours old. I love the way his eyes cross while he is trying to focus. Just 16 hours old and he is making me laugh and making me fall helplessly in love with him.

I've been playing the piano since I was probably around 6 years old. I took lessons from a woman named Mrs. Waggoner who lived down the street from us. I quit lessons as soon as my mom would let me, which I think was probably sometime around 6th grade. But I never quit playing. I simply taught myself the songs I wanted to play.
This piano is actually my mother's. I used to tell her that I wanted to take it and put it in my own house since I play it more than she does, but her response for as long as I can remember has always been "everything will be yours one day." Talk about morbid.
Now I play whenever I visit my parents' house. I'm fantastic at the songs I know (though since it's been years since I've had solid time to practice, some of my favorites are a little rusty), and I can teach myself any song I want if given enough time. But I'm nowhere near as good as Andy. He used to play piano in competitions. Whenever his folks went out of town during college, he'd have everyone over for a party and sometime around 2 or 3am, when he was good and drunk, he'd sit down and start blazing away at the piano. That's back before we were dating, when we were just friends. And I still remember watching him in awe as his hands raced across the keys, playing beautiful, complicated music at the wee hours of the morning. I think I may have been falling in love with him at the time without even realizing it.
