A few maple trees in and around Guelph Ontario have started to turn colour but several others still remain stubbornly green.

Affectionally (and perhaps, not so affectionally) called "The Brick" because of its shape, and weight. When I saw it, I thought it looked kind of Steam Punkish, and I snatched it up right away. It's heavy enough to weigh a body down in a lake, IYKWIM. lol I believe that this is the Argus C3, which began to be manufactured in 1939, in Ann Arbor Michigan. Darkness and light at the Brick Works

For the briefest of moments the sky was on fire as the sun rose and kissed the clouds.

While out in the light rain the other day, I walked a short stretch of the Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment East of Grimsby, Ontario. Along the side of the road near the access to the Bruce Trail, a group of shrubs had lost all their leaves, and only the small red berries with their black tips remained. The berries had raindrops clinging to them providing a nice contrast. By using a largish f-stop I was able to blur the background but still retain a repeating pattern of berry groups receding off to the right as well as the repeating vertical branches. And, Red Rule applies. - JW

Sandbanks Provincial Park.

The reds have all gone, but the golden leaves still remain on these huge trees. The sunlight was simply too good to pass by without raising my camera... I was happy with the result.
