NMH is all about traditions and the annual Matriculation Ceremony for new students was held on the Thorndike Field turf on 27 September, 2020. Matriculation reaches back to the origins of the school. The head of school welcomed students; the dean of students reminded them of their responsibilities to the community; and class advisors coordinated the signing of “the book,” in which each student added their name to a list of all NMH students. As with nearly every NMH event this year, Matriculation proceeded a bit differently: the ceremony was outdoors, with masks required for all participants and physically-distanced seating.
