I was going to use this image for the Macro Mondays theme this week, but then remembered I'd already done the miniature fruit for a different challenge last Friday, so I chose something else. The fruit is about ¾ inch across at its widest and its sitting on a blueberry.

So yeah, this turned out to be a bigger fail than I thought.

I wasn't going to post this, since it's fake, and I certainly don't want to give the idiot who vandalized the rocks any credit, but it's something I saw on my trip, so there you go.

I'm somewhat undecided as to whether this is a fake in the strictest sense. It definitely isn't a solid-gold pendant encrusted with diamonds and emeralds, but then again it makes no claims to be. Unlike a fake passport or fake furs which are manufactured in order to deceive people into mistaking them for the genuine article, this cheap tat was never intended to fool anyone, and never will.
It is, therefore, not even a genuine fake, but a fake fake, and as such I submit it for this weeks Macro Mondays theme.
